Holger Mohr named President of Custom Chrome– Holger Mohr accepts new position and challenges as President of Custom Chrome in Morgan Hill, CA Morgan Hill, CA- Holger Mohr has accepted a new position as President, Custom Chrome and acting Custom Chrome Europe Managing Director. In his new position(s), Holger will report to John Lott, CEO Global Motorsport.

“I am pleased to be making this announcement. Holger will be responsible for Custom Chrome globally. Holger’s direct reports include Sales, Marketing, R&D, Product Development/Portfolio, Communications and Europe. Custom Chrome is one of the most recognized brands in the v-twin aftermarket today. We take that position very seriously. Holger will be responsible for ensuring overall brand cohesion and market representation including directing improved external communications, dealer development, growth and general procedural improvement including but not limited to; fill rates, overall sales, enhancement to product portfolio, inventory management plus a more focused customer service approach” said Global Motorsport CEO, John Lott.

Holger has a proven, successful track record with Global Motorsport. Since becoming part of the Global team just ten years ago he has driven Custom Chrome Europe to its dominant position in its market, the market leader position which it still maintains today.

“I am looking forward to the new challenges this role presents. Custom Chrome knows how to be successful and has the right people to achieve its objectives. Along with the team, I have created new strategies and new focuses for the business. Since accepting the new role just last week, I am pleased to share that changes are already underway here in Morgan Hill” said Mohr. “I am here to guide and refocus the internal team and to deliver positive results to our loyal dealer network. It is a great time to be in the motorcycle marketplace and Custom Chrome is gearing up to be the productive business partner it built its name on” finished Mohr.

S&S ANNOUNCES SINGLE-BORE THROTTLE BODY RELEASE LA CROSSE, WI (August 1, 2006)– S&S Cycle announces the release of their new Single-Bore Throttle Body Kit (#17-5075) to fit 2001-2005 Delphi _fuel-injected big twin models.

For owners of 2001-2005 fuel-injected big twins, who have been searching for an economical upgrade for their stock induction system, the new S&S Cycle Single-Bore Throttle Body is now available. This new, high-performance system can supply the fuel needs of a variety of displacement engines, such as a 95″, 103″, or 106″ and utilizes many existing tuning systems that may have been purchased prior. It can also be used to provide added performance to stock engines such as the Harley-Davidson _Twin Cam 88 , as shown in the chart below. Kits are also available, in different configurations, for larger displacement engines.

The new S&S Single-Bore Throttle Body system uses a 2 1/16″ bore, the same as the S&S Super G, and has plenty of flow capability. This system currently includes the S&S Teardrop air cleaner and later this year a new version of the S&S Tuned Runner Induction System will be released. “The new single bore is an alternative to the very successful twin throttle bore and tuned runner assembly that we developed previously,” said Scott Sjovall, VP Product Development. “The single can actually offer more airflow at higher RPMs for slightly higher peak horsepower numbers where the tuned runner package is tuned for midrange torque. The competitive price, in conjunction with simplified installation and tuning, make it an attractive addition to our product line, especially for the 2004 and later models.”

The S&S R&D department recently conducted testing to show the Proven Performance _attributes of the new single-bore throttle body. The test motorcycle was a 2002 Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI, equipped with stock components (Twin Cam 88 engine, airbox, head pipes, and cam); the test results are shown below; showing increased horsepower and torque after the installation of the new S&S Single-Bore Throttle Body along with the S&S Desperado Teardrop air cleaner (#17-0004), S&S SPO mufflers (#55-6030), and the S&S ECU (#51-5034) used for this testing.

This above dyno-chart indicates test results showing 3% torque improvement and 19% horsepower improvement when using the stated S&S components compared to the stock motorcycle. The new S&S Single-Bore Throttle Body allows owners of 2004-2005 fuel-injected models to install an S&S Hot Set Up Kit, such as the 106ci, 116ci or the 124ci, on their bike and take advantage of compatibility with programmable aftermarket ECU’s and tuning systems.
