Bob T. is our connection to the remnants of the Code of The West discovered hidden in the rusting fin of a half buried ’59 Cadillac. He also has an extensive llbrary of antique biker photography, memorabilia and knives. I can’t tell you where he lives? He won’t tell me. I know he’s in the desert between Joshua Tree, the Little San Bernardino Mountains, Sheep Hole, Black Rock Canyon, Indian Cove, Jumbo Rocks, the Cabazon Indian Reservation, Morongo Valley and 19 Palms. His underground facility is centered in the Mojave Desert and protected by the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. There’s no fuckin’ with this dude.
But occasionally, in the middle of the night I receive an e- mail so tainted with computer viruses that my Mac begins to smoke. That’s how I know I just received a Bob T. e-mail. In last night’s connection I discovered two rare knives and brief criptic notes. Here goes:

Custom Forged Harley-Davidson Connecting Rod Knife by JS
This knife was forged from a Harley-Davidson connecting rod. This was custom made and marked with JS for Journeyman Smith. It’s 9 1/2 inches overall with a 5-inch Blade, and it`s so sharp it will cut your face off. The Knucklehead knife is for sale, $1000.00.

Four years ago a Missouri mountain man called Bob and offered the knife to him in exchange for a dozen fresh desert peyote buttons. “I did the deal because I could shave with the bastard, it’s so sharp,” Bob said, although there are reports that he hasn’t shaved in 25 years. “Okay you sonuvabitch. I got it because of the skull crushing wrist pin knob at the end of the handle.”

USMC “Fierce Blood” Survival Bowie Knife Built by Colin Cox With Bob T’s Blueprint There’s functional saw teeth on top of blade that can saw or slice through wood, bone or most any material. The spiked brass knuckle guard protects Bob while the knife is being used for defense/offense or as a tool. The handle was cut from a solid 303 stainless steel round bar, milled to receive the tang of the blade, which is custom sleeved, bolted and then soldered for a solid, perfect fit.

The handle was drilled out hollow for a waterproof survival compartment. It’s a storage handle and the butt cap's knurled. The butt cap was designed by Dangerous Bob T. to serve as a tool or weapon with its unique sharp point and thong hole. Embedded in butt cap is a quality floating compass.

The knife was custom made for Bob T. by Colin Cox from Bob’s blueprint.

With the compass removed a needle sharp, stainless steel spear can be screwed into the but for, well, you know… The knife took three months to fabricate. Colin told me that Bob lived in a tent outside his shop until the knife was completed.

As a side note, these knives may be for sale, but first you have to find the reclusive bastard. I met him once outside of Desert Center. He told me he’d meet me, and I suppose he did. He waved from a pair of Blacked-out highbars on the other side of the highway as he flew past.
