It was more than 60 years ago, but Harry Hulme still remembers the nervous excitement he felt before taking part in his first motorcycle race.
The 82-year-old retired engineer raced at Alton Towers for two seasons in the early 1950s.
"I can still remember my first race now," says Harry, from Manor Court, Walton, near Stone.
"I would have been 22 and was feeling quite nervous, but I knew what to expect as I had been a spectator at the Alton Towers races many times.
