Hey,
Life is nuts. Just turn on the television. There’s a side of me that wants to ride into Arizona and hide in the rocks from all the bullshit and infighting. I’m just an old biker, but to me it’s all easy. Freedom works. If both sides would put freedom first they would come to the best solutions.
I’m planning for my ride into the desert and working on my Sculpture effort for Cantina readers only until it’s unveiled. I will have a report ready for you next week.
Let’s hit the news:
WISCONSIN BLACK BOX–
A positive ruling on black box privacy. If you’re a Wisconsin resident, please call your senator and assembly person and ask them to sign on and support Sen. Stroebel’s bill on black box privacy.
Right now, it has a legislative reference bureau number, LRB 1649. We need more co-sponsors on this bill to get it heard in committee and passed this session.
This is a privacy issue and the Florida Appeals Court ruled correctly in it’s analogy of other personal electronic devices that require a warrant and on the expectancy of privacy concerning the black box on your car, truck or motorcycle.
Appeals Court: Warrant Needed to Search Car’s ‘Black Box’
In what is likely a first-of-its-kind case in Florida a divided appeals court said authorities needed a warrant before they could download information recorded in a…

EXECUTIVE & REGULATORY UPDATES FROM THE MRF –
Cuts to EPA Under Trump Budget, Comments Filed to Federal Highway Administration and MAC Deadline Pushed Again.
Last week, the President released his recommended budget for the funding of federal agencies. Interestingly, the suggested budget gives some indication of where the White House priorities lie. This year’s budget proposed a 31 percent cut to the Environmental Protection Agency.
Tellingly, it appears as though the Administration is looking to take away any federal funding for policies regarding climate change housed within the EPA. The budget blueprint funds the EPA at $5.7 billion next year, down from its current budget of $8.3 billion. The budget also discontinues $100 million in funding for several climate change programs within the Agency, including enforcement for Obama-era climate rules, climate change research and international climate change support.
Be aware that this budget is merely a suggestion, Congress is in charge of funding the government and will have to approve such a measure. At this point it appears unlikely that Congress will approve Trump’s suggested budget ‘as is.’
This week, your MRF filed official comments with the Federal Highway Administration regarding the Motorcyclist Advisory Council or MAC. As a reminder, the MAC was created to coordinate with and counsel the Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) on infrastructure issues that affect motorcyclists.
So, it came as shock when the FHWA announced in January they would only dedicate one seat out of a possible ten for a motorcyclist on the Council. Instead, the other nine seats were to represent experts in road design, construction, safety and engineering.
The MRF quickly mobilized, asking Members of Congress to weigh in. That they did, with letters representing dozens of states and almost 40 elected officials signing on to oppose the move by FHWA. In addition, the MRF filed its own set of comments, which aggressively addressed the missteps of the Agency.
For a copy of the MRF’s comments, contact Megan Ekstrom (Megan@mrf.org). Relatedly, we found out this week that the deadline for submitting nominations to serve on the MAC was pushed yet again. Originally, comments and nominations were due in February. That date got pushed back to March 23 and we were told this week by the FHWA that they are pushing the deadline yet again to mid-April.
Its unclear if the MRF’s advocacy and concerns are the reason the deadline is being pushed but it is clear that internally, there are discussions going on within the FHWA about how to handle the MAC and as a result, the finish line keeps being moved. Stay tuned….

BIKERNET TRIKE EDITOR WEIGHS IN– We all hate politics, but just wanted to share a thought about global rise in Nationalism.
India has an identity crisis. Americans have an identity crisis. British have an identity crisis. French have an identity crisis. Too much diversity is causing the natives in these countries to question their democracy.
Too many different people speaking different languages, displaying different cultures, supporting different races and religions. Rise of Nationalism in all these historically open nations is the psychological result of alienation of the native.
India was always a land of plenty in ancient times, welcoming all foreign civilizations to assimilate into a large melting pot. That India of 2000 years ago is exactly today’s America in 21st century. As USA has been the promised land for immigrants to find fortune, the present day USA has become a very hot melting pot of cultures, languages, religions and races.
The boiling point is within reach. If I am Indian and all these illiterate freeloading assholes from Bangladesh, Burma, Nepal, Tibet, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, China, etc are also Indian, then it makes an identity crisis for me. Hence Nationalism. We are all waiting for a global human revolution or a World War. There is no third alternative.
We can’t continue as-is. Either Star Trek United Federation of Earth or the enslavement under the Dark Lord of Sith.

O’DONNELL, VP RACING FUELS’ MAD SCIENTIST MAKE MONSTER JAM HISTORY– Monster Truck Driver Lands First Ever Front Flip
In front of a sold-out crowd at Sam Boyd Stadium Saturday night, VP Racing Fuels’ Mad Scientist driven by Lee O’Donnell made history by pulling off the first-ever front flip in a Monster Jam monster truck. The stunt propelled O’Donnell to the 2017 Monster Jam World Finals Freestyle Championship, the first for both O’Donnell and the Mad Scientist Monster Jam truck.
O’Donnell’s unexpected move began with pulling a high-speed wheelie after a jump. He then hit another jump while his front wheels were up in the air, causing the back end of his truck to launch up, eventually somersaulting over the front end of his truck. As he stuck the landing, the crowd roared. The video has become the biggest story of this past weekend with replays on Fox Sports, ESPN Sports Center and millions of views on websites worldwide.
“We couldn’t be happier for Lee O’Donnell in pulling off this feat,” said Alan Cerwick, President of VP Racing Fuels. “This type of achievement and push-the-envelope aggressiveness is consistent with the long-time culture at VP and emblematic of our unique brand.”
The Mad Scientist Monster Jam truck began competing in 2016 and has become an important component of VP Racing Fuels’ marketing program as it continues to diversify and expand beyond racing fuels, an industry it’s led for more than 40 years. Representing VP’s technological leadership and maniacal passion for power and winning, the Mad Scientist now adorns VP-branded gas stations and convenience stores which VP has been rolling out across the U.S.
The Mad Scientist icon also appears on packages of new VP-branded products for the mass consumer market including VP Small Engine Fuels for 2- and 4-cycle outdoor power equipment, VP Madditives for gas and diesel engines, and VP Racing Lubricants, all of which are distributed via VP-branded stations and/or major retail chains across the country.
In addition, VP this week will be launching a VP Racing Fast Lube™ concept, wherein the VP brand will be available under license by quick lube centers interested in leveraging one of the fastest-growing performance lifestyle brands in America.

QUICK, OPEN THE BIKERNET BAD JOKE LIBRARY– There is nothing so pitiful as a young cynic because he has gone from knowing nothing to believing nothing.
Finding new courage that he never knew he had, he stormed into the kitchen and announced to his wife, “From now on, you need to know that I am the man of this house and my word is the ‘Law.’
You will prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, bring it to me, and when I am done eating my meal, you will clear the dishes and serve me a scrumptious dessert.
After dinner, you are going to go upstairs with me and we will make love the way I want!
Afterwards, you are going to draw me a bath so I can relax. You will put on soothing music, wash my back and towel me dry and bring me my robe. You will massage my feet and hands to relieve any last bit of tension so that I can sleep like a baby. Then tomorrow, guess who’s going to dress me and comb my hair?
The wife replied, “The funeral director would be my first guess, unless I decide to have your ass cremated.”

AUSTRALIAN CLUB NEWS– Another call for Australian national anti-biker laws
South Australian motorcycle club members are meeting interstate to plan their ‘illegal activities’ without fear of prosecution because of inconsistent laws screams the Adelaide Advertisers police hack Nigel Hunt.
The conflicting laws, which allow them to associate in some states but not others, are hampering the battle against bikers, according to the head of the key national taskforce spearheading the fight.
The glaring anomaly has prompted Attorney-General John Rau to move to raise the “concerning’’ issue with his counterparts and investigate mutual recognition of SA’s bikie laws in all states.
The Advertiser newspaper can reveal senior Mongols members from South Australia regularly meet in Melbourne — with the latest meeting occurring just over a month ago.
It occurred just three days before an Adelaide Mongols member — who attended the Melbourne meeting — was shot in the leg at his St Clair home.
The man, Pero Mileusnic, suffered a gunshot wound when three shots were fired at him by two men armed with handguns — believed to be rival Hells Angels — as he slept.
The Melbourne meeting was also attended by high-profile Mongols president Andrew Majchrak — whose northern suburbs house was the target of a drive-by shooting several days after Mileusnic was shot.
Similar gatherings have been held in Mildura by Hells Angels members and in Canberra by Rebels members — under the watch of SA detectives who also travelled there.
If the gatherings of members of clubs that have been “declared’’ criminal organiZations were held in SA, those involved would likely breach SA’s consorting laws and sections of the states draconian anti-biker legislation.
The differing legislative regimes across the states — ranging from harsh anti-association provisions and declarations in Queensland, NSW and SA to softer laws in Victoria and virtually none in the ACT — is causing concern among senior police, with some believing national anti-bikie laws are needed to further disrupt the groups and reduce their drug trafficking activities.
Police intelligence has discovered the regular interstate meetings in jurisdictions with inadequate legislation are one of many tactics now being used by local clubs to circumvent the tough SA laws — including using encrypted communications, riding in pairs only and using tightly-controlled “puppets’’ to front businesses they were formerly involved in to launder cash.
John Rau, South Australia’s Deputy Premier and Attorney-General said on Friday the situation was ‘concerning’ and he planned to raise it at the next STAG — State and Territory Attorney-General’s — meeting.
“I think this is sufficiently important for me to put it on the agenda,’’ he said.
“The concern is the developing of these safe havens for these groups to coalesce in places where the laws are more favourable to them than they are here in SA.
“I don’t think it is appropriate for me to go around telling governments in other jurisdictions how they should manage their domestic affairs, although I would be happy to share with them the experience we have had in SA since we put our laws through.
“But I do think it would be helpful perhaps to talk with them about whether we could have some form of mutual recognition across state and territory borders of orders made in one jurisdiction being operable in another.’’
Such a move would not be difficult, but would require legislative change in each state to facilitate such action and construct an administrative framework for police to work within.
Detective Superintendent Peter De Santo, commander of VICPOL’s anti-gangs division and chair of the national anti-biker Taskforce Morpheus, on Friday revealed moves had been made to tackle the inconsistent club laws, but it was a “challenge.’’
“I would have to say the inconsistencies of legislation across the various jurisdictions that form Morpheus is an issue,’’ he said.
“I am sure Taskforce Morpheus would love to see a harmoniZation of the relevant legislation across all jurisdictions.
“In order to get all the states and federal government on the one page with harmonious legislation I think is a difficult ask, although we have looked at that as a taskforce as a way we could go.
“We have made representations in the past to the relevant areas of responsibility and I know all of the jurisdictions on a continual basis advocate to their relevant ministers for more legislative power in order to combat these groups.’’
He said some states had “more traction than others’’ with their anti-biker legislation, while others used different legislation in order to control club members.
Taskforce Morpheus has been established by the Serious and OrganiZed Crime Co-ordination Committee, which comprises assistant commissioners of crime from all Australian policing jurisdictions and senior representatives of the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, Federal Police, the ATO, Customs and Centrelink.
It tackles not just criminality, but also examines the assets and income streams of club members and associates.
Justice Minister Michael Keenan on Friday said “criminals do not respect borders’’ and Commonwealth, States and Territories needed to work together “to ensure jurisdiction is not a factor in the investigation and litigation of serious and organized crime.’’
“Combating serious organized crime is a national priority. The Government has been working with the states and territories to develop stronger legislative responses to outlaw motorcycle clubs. We look forward to continuing these discussions,’’ he said.
The federal government has provided more than $39 million in funding to enable the national Anti-Gangs Squad to continue for the next two years. The squad has either a strike team or liaison officer in all states and concentrates on disrupting club related activity and organised crime.
Nationally, police claim there are now 40 individual outlaw motorcycle clubs comprising 436 chapters, more than 4,300 members and another 740 prospects and 4,000 associates.
The latest interstate events that saw Crime Gangs detectives attend included the Rebels national run in Canberra last October and more recently, the national runs of the Hells Angels in Mildura and the Gypsy Joker’s in Albury, in February.
WEEKEND TECH– Packing for a motorcycle guided tour – By Eytan Magen
The motorcycle guided tour packing list, and packing for a guided tour is usually very different from, packing for a riding adventure. When packing for an adventure, everything you may need has to be with you at all times, strapped to the bike.
However, on a guided tour you can expect you luggage (the regular kind) to simply wait for you every day in your hotel room when you arrive after a days ride. Your Kit has to be flown in and ride with you and you will usually have a top box and/or a tank bag supplied to harbor valuables you need during the day. In this article I will try to lay out basic organization thoughts of kit and Comfort, and the basics of planning and packing for a guided tour.
Getting There –
By definition, when packing for a motorcycle tour, you’re going to plan to travel light. Motorcycles have very little room and there will be a lot of items to cover and include to make the tour with comfort and safety. (See motorcycle guided tour packing list)
We suggest leaving home with three bags:
A carry-on size suitcase. (Personal belonging, cloths toiletry). – Figure 1
A back pack. (books, electronics, travel documents and money). – Figure 2
Large duffel. (Riding Suits, Helmets, Gloves). – Figure 3
motorcycle guided tour packing list
Carry-On – Figure 1
motorcycle guided tour packing list
Back Pack – Figure 2
motorcycle guided tour packing list
Duffel Bag – Figure 3
We also suggest using this motorcycle guided tour packing list to assist you remember and tick-off all the items you may need.
What goes where –
The Carry – On Suitcase – always works for us. The carry on packed from home is the standard size bag most motorcycle touring companies allow on the van. (On a long hall of over 2 weeks one can upgrade to the next size). We recommend to bring it packed from home. You should have in it all items needed after riding hours – i.e. – evenings.
Don’t put any riding gear or anything you may need during the day such as nylons warm gloves or even an extra lier. You will find soon enough that even though usually the support vehicle runs the same route as the tour, you may find when you need something out of the suitcase on the van, that the van isn’t there. – Alternatively you may learn that there is simply no time to open the van and get to your bag. Finally, many times , and Murphy’s law demands that, your bag will be the one at the back of the van and impossible to get to.
The Back Pack – While traveling this bag will have your money, passport, airline tickets, gadgetry (computer, tablet, phone,) books and magazines, and a small toiletry kit as wells a one night change of underwear. (this is in case you luggage gets sent and lost – its happened to us). we recommend a 2 strap back configuration leaving both hands free to control the 2 other bags.
motorcycle guided tour packing list
Tank bag with Straps
Here it would be a good place to point out that you can bring your own Tank- Bag and we do recommend the kind that has straps to it. This offers a great solution reducing even more the need to pack and repack this bag as we will explain in the On tour chapter. (see picture).
The Duffle Bag – This bag is jus for motorcycle kit. The rider needs to arrive at the start point of the tour with full kit. I use a simple collapsible duffle for my Touring Suit, Touring boots, riding gloves, and a helmet. you will be emptying This bag and sending it to the end destination. In the event it is a circular tour you will be leaving it behind at the hotel. We recommend you line the duffle bag with the jacket. Once you’ve done that, fit the helmet inside the jacket to give it maximum protection from the airport handlers. This bag is optional and we have also gone on tours where we will wear the Jacket and boots, pack the trousers and gloves and put the helmet in its original carry bag and throw it over our shoulder. In this last format you have the benefit of not checking any luggage and walking right off the plane.
While on tour –
to best serve you while on tour, you will need to re-distribute all your belongings between the bike and van . The Carry-On will go onto the support van as is. This way you will not to repack this main bag once you begin the tour. You may empty the second backpack or simply use it as a tank bag (If it has the system). Empty the back-pack into the tank bag and then just fold it and send it to the end point. The duffel bag’s content will be unpacked completely. All kit to be worn is placed for next day and the rest such as spare gloves spare socks spare undershirt or underwear, all can go into the top box for use on tour. Remember not to put them not the Suit case as you may not have them when you need them.
Self Guided tour –
The major difference between the guided tour and the self guided tour is, of course, the lack of a support van. Thus you need to calculate your luggage volume meticulously. Tamr and I always share the cases in a same way. The side cases are a ‘His and Hers’ and the Top Box is for motorcycle gear cameras and and other essentials on the go. We try not to touch the side cases during the day. When entering the hotel at the end of a riding day, you will be able to take them off and carry them like suitcases.. However you can still use the motorcycle guided tour packing list to plan your packing.
What to look for –
Make sure you are getting a TopBox and a tank bag, when booking a guided tour. Also make sure you have a support van and luggage service during the tour. Additional you should check what is the maximum size of suitcase you can bring. We also recomend you check the airline policy about helmet. Remember this is in addition to your carry on and back pack. Last but not least make sure your bags are all clearly marked with your name. Our staff will need to deliver your bags properly too your room at the end of the day.
The Motorcycle Guided tour Packing List –
We always suggest you use the motorcycle guided tour packing list to plan your packing. Working with a list helps avoid forgetting anything and thus will save you money and time. Even better, Print a copy for each tour and tick off everything you’ve laid out to take with you. We also recommend you go over the list beforehand. Consequently customizing the list to your needs with all that hasn’t been mentioned. If you have suggestions to amend this we welcome any suggestions you may have.
TAMAR Mediterranean Mototours Ltd. (TAMARBIKES) –
TAMARBIKES is a leading Boutique motorcycle guided tour company. TAMARBIKES brings to the motorcycle guided tour scene some of the best experiences and adventures one can buy on a motorcycle. These adventures are aimed at some of the best and most exciting destinations on earth.
THE PRESIDENT REPORTS– 20,000 More Jobs For The American People
President Trump was thrilled to announce that Charter Communications has committed to investing $25 billion dollars in the United States, and has committed to hiring 20,000 American workers over the next four years.
Charter will also end its offshore call centers, now basing 100% of them here in the United States. This is great for their workers and customers, but especially great for the United States.
AND SO WE RETURN TO THE BIKERNET BAD JOKE LIBRARY–
Years ago it was suggested that, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” But, since all the doctors are now Muslim, I’ve found that a bacon sandwich works great!
An Emergency Call Centre worker has been fired in Toronto much to the dismay of her colleagues, who were unhappy with her dismissal.
It seems that a caller dialled 911 from a cell phone stating, “I am depressed and lying on a railway line so that when the train comes I can finally meet Allah.”
To which the call centre employee replied, “Remain calm and stay on the line.” Allah will meet you at the station
I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pick pocketed.
How could anyone stoop so low.
GUN NUT REPORTS CONTINUE– California: “Shall Issue” Legislation to be Heard Tuesday, April 4
On Tuesday, April 4, Assembly Bill 757 and Assembly Bill 521 will be heard in their respective committees. It’s critical that you show your support for the bills by either attending the hearings in person and/or contacting members of the committee by using the take action button below.
Assembly Bill 757 sponsored by Melissa Melendez (R-67), also known as the “shall-issue” bill, addresses the inequitable nature of California’s current concealed carry law.
Current law outlines a number of requirements for the issuance of a concealed carry license including the existence of “good cause.” This critical requirement is left #ff0000, leaving discretion for the issuing authority to determine whether a license “may” be issued.
This lack of definition has allowed issuing authorities to discriminate against many applicants or use the licensing process to favor certain individuals rather than issue licenses in an equitable and consistent manner. AB 757 would resolve this issue by defining “good cause” and stating that the issuing authority “shall” issue a license if the outlined criteria is met.
If you support making California a “shall issue” state please consider attending this hearing to voice your support or contact the committee by clicking the take action button above.
Assembly Public Safety Committee
State Capitol Room 126
Hearing Time 9 A.M.
Tuesday, April 4
Assembly Bill 521 sponsored by Jim Frazier (D-11) would reduce California’s high-priced resident elk permit from $450 to $67, the average cost of resident elk tags issued in Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming.
Hunters play a critical role in conservation efforts and wildlife management. Unfortunately over the past 20 years, California has seen a steady decline in participation, with high costs pricing out many new hunters. This bill would help generate participation and encourage the next generation of sportsman by reducing the cost barrier and recognizing the vital role that the hunter conservationist plays in wildlife management.
Show your support by clicking the take action button above or by attending the hearing in person.
Assembly Water, Parks, and Wildlife Committee
State Capitol Room 444
Hearing Time 9 A.M.
Tuesday, April 4
On Wednesday April 5, anti-gun bills Assembly Bill 7 and Assembly Bill 424 will be considered by the Assembly Appropriations committee.
Assembly Bill 7 sponsored by Jim Gibson (D-64) would prohibit the carrying of an unloaded firearm other than a handgun while in or upon a public place or public street within a prohibited area located within the unincorporated area of a county.
Assembly Bill 424 sponsored by Kevin McCarty (D-7) would remove the ability of a school district superintendent, his or her designee, or equivalent school authority to provide written permission allowing a person to possess a firearm within a school zone.
Click the take action button above to contact the members of the Assembly Appropriations Committee and urge them to oppose AB 7 and AB 424.
Please forward this alert to your family, friends, and fellow gun owners and sportsmen. Also be sure to continue to check your inbox, and the California’s Stand and Fight website for updates on issues impacting your Second Amendment rights in California.

RSD SUPER HOOLIGANS TAKE IT TO THE GEORGIA CLAY– Round 3 of the Super Hooligan National Championship Series took place on hard packed red Georgia Clay at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA. This wide 3/8th mile D Shaped banked track looked as intimidating as it was fast.
This wasn’t your typical Hooligan track, this is the kind of track that either makes you a better rider or can take it all away in an instant. There’s a saying they have in the south “Dirt roads will give you peace of mind and clay ones will show you what you’re made of.” This track was the perfect dichotomous example of that.
Just before the main events darkness crept its way across the track as the last sliver of sun shown down when the Hooligans roared out to their heat race. Jordan Baber quickly proved to be the man to beat. He was the fastest qualifier, won his heat race and the Dunlop Dash for Cash.
During the main event however it was road racer and See See sponsored rider Andy Dibrino who pulled the K&N holeshot but proved to need a little more power on his H-D 750. He ultimately battled for third place only to come in 4th behind number 62 Ducati Scrambler racer Miles Thornton. To his defense, Dibrino along with number 88 Jimmy Hill, who came in 6th, did just haul their race bikes from coast to coast from Portland to Atlanta, living on Waffle House and taking tours of many Motel 6 locations just to make it in time to give it their all on the track. If that’s not grit then I don’t know what is.
It was Baber on his H-D S&S Sportster who took the win of the main event, but not without number 47, Jordan Graham on his heels aboard his Indian Scout Sixty. Baber took home $500 from Dunlop and Bell Powersports, a custom painted Bell Moto 3 helmet by Airtrix, and a $1000 bonus from Indian Motorcycle for winning the main. Plus another grand from Dunlop for winning the four lap, winner-take-all Dash for Cash. Definitely not a bad day for Baber!
Trevor Monn worked like a wild man to get his old Ironhead all fixed up to come race with us for the first time in Georgia. He came, he raced, he crashed into the airfence… he had a blast!!! Good job on the rebuild and for winning the Motul Cleanest Bike Award! Enjoy that backpack full of Motul cleaning products and a few bucks to fix her back up… Read full story HERE.
Congratulations to Indian Motorcycle on their Pro Flat Track podium sweep at Dixie Speedway!
Next stop on the Super Hooligan National Championship Series is Hippy Killer Hoedown in Perris, CA on April 22, 2017.

WEEKEND GUN NUT REPORT– “Zero Tolerance” Policies and the Making of a Preschool Pariah
The “Three Rs” used to stand for reading, writing, and arithmetic. Now, with zero-tolerance policies that ignore facts and logic, it’s reading, writing, and ridiculous.
Caitlin Miller, aged five, of Hoke County, North Carolina was suspended from kindergarten after making shooting motions with a stick during a recess game of “Kings and Queens” (Caitlin was the royal security detail). Citing the need to provide “a safe and orderly environment for learning,” the school uses a zero-tolerance policy for “assaults, threats or harassment from any student.” The suspension letter from the assistant principal advises that Caitlin was being punished for “turning a stick into a gun and threatening to shoot and kill other students.”
This episode follows a report of disciplinary action earlier in March against four-year-old preschooler Hunter Crowe. Hunter was suspended for seven days because – according to Jackson’s mom – staff alleged he brought a “shotgun bullet” into the preschool.
Closer examination indicated the offending item was, in fact, an empty .22 shell casing, which Hunter picked up after a weekend with his grandfather, a police officer, learning gun safety. Hunter didn’t threaten or hurt anyone, but simply brought the spent casing along as something to share with his friends. The preschool, however, apparently views this (and Hunter’s use of other toys as “pretend” guns) as a sign of a troubled or degenerate personality.
The preschool director’s letter explains that Hunter had already been told that “guns, hunting, etc., are not subjects that are to be discussed at school,” and that the punishment is intended as a “learning experience” that will lead to a “new outlook and understanding about these issues and the safety of his fellow classmates.” Hunter’s mother says she was warned that if Hunter’s “enthusiasm for guns continued, he’d be permanently expelled.” (What next? A demand that Hunter change his name because it is associated with the “oppression of the environment”?)
The ostensible reasons given for these blanket prohibitions are safety and the need for a secure learning environment, yet rules like these can’t legitimately be justified on safety grounds.
Unfortunately, enforcing such ridiculous restrictions has real and disproportionate consequences for good kids. Besides the immediate impact of a “corrective action” like suspension, these students face being stigmatized as “disruptive” or problem students with “behavioral issues” once these infractions are noted in their school records.
In one case, a five-year-old kindergartner who pointed a crayon while making “pew pew” sounds was required to sign a “school safety contract” promising that she would not commit suicide or kill others, and had to respond to a “suicide/homicide assessment” questionnaire, with school officials recommending that the child see a psychiatrist. Such actions also have the potential to bring parents within the ambit of government oversight and investigation – Hunter Crowe’s mother was apparently told that in addition to the suspension, preschool officials would be notifying the state Department of Children and Family Services.
Incredible, and when kids get home from school and turn on the TV they witness middle eastern tribes shooting at each other. What’s the school going to do about world news?—Renegade

AMERICAN BANJO MUSEUM TO HONOR ROY CLARK WITH SPECIAL EXHIBITION– Country Music Hall of Fame member Roy Clark will be honored with his own exhibit at the American Banjo Museum in Oklahoma City. The exhibit, titled America’s Super Picker – Roy Clark, will open on April 6, 2017 and run through the end of March 2018.
“The banjo is about as Americana as you can get,” Clark says. “It’s such an honor to have an exhibition highlighting my career in the American Banjo Museum.”
The exhibit will feature artifacts from the entirety of his musical career including photographs from his personal collection. Clark was also recently inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame.

PUT ME IN CHARGE–
Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away.
If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.
Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your “home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried.
If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.
In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government” job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you.
Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem,” consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.
If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.
AND While you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov’t welfare check.
If you want to vote, then get a job.

THE BIKERNET BAD JOKE LIBRARY IS STILL OPEN– Seven year old Mohammad entered his classroom on the first day of school. “What’s your name?” asked the teacher.
“Mohammad,” he replied.
“You’re in Ireland now,” replied the teacher, “So from now on you will be known as Mike.”
Mohammad returned home after school. “How was your day, Mohammad?”, his mother asked.
“My name is not Mohammad. I’m in Ireland and now my name is Mike.”
“Are you ashamed of your name? Are you trying to dishonor your parents, your heritage, your religion? Shame on you!” And his mother beat the shit out of him. Then she called his father, who beat the shit out of him again.
The next day Mohammad returned to school. The teacher saw all of his fresh bruises. “What happened to you, Mike?”, she asked.
“Well shortly after becoming an Irishman, I was attacked by two fucking Muslims.”

GUN NUT REPORTS CONTINUE– Kentucky: Senate Passes Pro-Gun Committee Substitute
Today, the Kentucky Senate passed a substituted version of House Bill 417. HB 417, sponsored by Representative Robert Benvenuti (R-88), received proposed changes to it while being considered in the Senate Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection Committee. The substituted version makes two important changes for concealed carry training in Kentucky. House Bill 417 now heads to the desk of Governor Matt Bevin for his signature. Please contact Governor Bevin and urge him to sign HB 417 into law.
The first change would establish parameters for organizations like, but not limited to, the NRA, which may train and certify firearms instructors to teach safety courses to concealed deadly weapons permit applicants. The second change removes a dangerous provision that requires students in a training class to clean their guns in a class setting. This is a potentially hazardous practice in a group/classroom setting, as class members would have difficulty keeping the firearms pointed in a safe direction while cleaning, as they are taught to always do. This change would require a demonstration by the instructor, which is much safer in a group setting.
Your NRA-ILA would like to thank all of the legislators who supported HB 417. Special thanks to Senator Albert Robinson (R-21), Senator Ray Jones (D-31), and the leadership of both chambers.

BOOK OF THE WEEK– If you plan to read the book “The Killing of the Rising Sun” or have read this book, the pictures will bring reality to what took place in 1944 and 1945.
Enola Gay In August 1995 in Reno I was eating at a Japanese restaurant at a strip mall (Moana West) with my WWII USAF grandfather. Next door attached was a little nondescript art gallery which was having a group of older men signing some prints I noticed as we went to the car. They were just milling around out the glass door when I suddenly realized it was the Enola Gay crew.
I went and shook the pilot’s hand (Paul Tibbets) and the rest, just to connect with history. Tech circa 1945A close look at the BOMBS.
DECLASSIFIED PHOTOS – ‘B-29s’
“Enola Gay” & “Bocks Car”
Forest Arden was the chief flight mechanic of a B-29 stationed at Tinian Island. His aircraft was parked nearby to the Enola Gay and he watched the loading procedure of the first Atomic Bomb. He said that security was strictly enforced and no one was allowed to approach to within 100 yards! Few had any inkling of what about to occur. Everyone was astounded at the sudden end of World War II.
This is an unbelievable set of photos – the REAL thing – pix from Tinian Island as the B-29 “Enola Gay” was being loaded. Notice the “Top Secret” stamp on some of the photos. In the last few pix notice the CRUDE sheet metal work on the casing and fins of “Little Boy” – the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima.

THAT’S IT FOR NOW— But so much more is coming rapid fire to Bandit’s Cantina and Bikernet. I have a short week next week with Arizona Bike Week, so I need to finish the Bikernet Weekly News on Wednesday. That gives me just two days to scramble on a couple of articles.
We will slip Mandy into the Cantina, and I will work on the first sculpture article, but I would like to kick off a Spectro Fork Oil Piece and we are going to test different grades in Conway’s Dyna and tell you how each grade changes handling and ride.
I’m also working with Biker’s Choice on a custom frame piece. I bought a bitchin’ Kraft Tech frame, but then discovered all the varieties. We will also have input from the Paughco crew.
There’s a bunch on our plate and I’m sure I’ll bring back new content from the desert, new bruises, new tequila, another redhead, you name it.
Ride Free Forever,
–Bandit
