Hey,
Life is strange, and just gets more bizarre daily. Last night I watched a panel of city mayors discuss issues in their cities. One young woman, who has spent three terms as the major of her town, mentioned something critical. She said, and I’m not sure I’ll get it straight, but the notion is: It’s not enough to just believe in something. You must be able to articulate your goals, and follow through on implementation.
Think about that. It made me sit up, like a stark reminder. Can we articulate our desire to return Freedom and education to the forefront in this country? Let’s support Veterans efforts to spread freedom. Let’s live in a country made up of strong, brave, and educated folks, not weak, enabled ones. Think about that mantra within your own goals for whatever. It’s sort of an obvious guiding light.
Let’s hit the news and thank our veterans.

A guy gets a call from the police telling him that his house was robbed. The offenders had also consumed all of his beer and had raped his wife.
A moment of silence passes, then the guy says, “I can’t believe they banged my wife after only five beers!”

Got this text from my brother recently. It read. “Can I stay at your house for a while? The ol’ lady kicked me out after she caught me measuring my dick. For what it’s worth, it reaches all the way to the back of her sister’s throat!”

BAD COP FILES FOUND OPEN–‘Officer of the Month’ Raped Girl At Gunpoint on the Hood of His Patrol Car
By Matt Agorist on November 4, 2014
Boynton Beach, FL — A Boynton Beach police officer offered a stranded 20-year-old girl a ride home and instead brought her to an empty field and brutally raped her.
Officer Stephen Maiorino, 35, was charged with armed sexual battery, armed kidnapping and unlawful compensation or reward for official behavior last week after police discovered his disgusting actions on the night of October 15.
The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was left stranded downtown after a friend she was riding with was arrested on DUI charges. According to the police report Maiorino offered the young woman a ride to the station so she could wait for someone to pick her up.
At this point a waking nightmare began for the young woman in Maiorino’s car. Maiorino did drive her to the police station, but when she tried to get out of the car, he grabbed her and told her that if she didn’t perform oral sex on him, he would arrest her, according to the police report.
Obviously fearful of this psycho cop, she agreed and the officer drove off 20 blocks north of the department, which is located near the intersection of Seacrest and Boynton Beach boulevards, to an abandoned field.
Maiorino then held the young woman at gunpoint and forced her to strip naked. He then forced her to the hood of his car and raped her. She said she was face down, held in place on the hood with his right hand. During the assault, she told police, she looked back at her attacker and saw the gun in his left hand.
Investigators found the condom Maiorino used to rape the woman in the field the next day.
According to the report, when this disgusting excuse for a human was finished raping the woman, he told her that if she told anyone, he would kill her and her family.
Palm Beach Post reports that over the radio in his car, officers asked where he and the woman were: They said the woman’s family was at the station waiting to take the 20 year old home. According to radio logs from that day, almost an hour had passed since he made the initial contact with dispatch that he was on his way to drop the woman off to wait for her family.
The eight-year veteran is on administrative leave without pay until he can be fired from the department, Boynton Beach Police Chief Jeffrey Katz said during a news conference at police headquarters.

MISSION SPECIAL DELIVERY: HARLEY-DAVIDSON PARTNERS WITH WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT; SURPRISES VETS WITH 2015 MOTORCYCLES
H-D and WWP to Co-Develop Riding Program to Help Treat Veterans Living with PTSD
MILWAUKEE (Nov. 6, 2014) – Harley-Davidson (NYSE:HOG) made a special delivery of new 2015 motorcycles to six U.S. military veterans, today. The surprise jumpstarts a new partnership between Harley-Davidson and Wounded Warrior Project to help improve the lives of service men and women living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Bill Davidson, great-grandson of company co-founder William A. Davidson, along with six Harley-Davidson employees who are veterans, rode the bikes – led by police motorcade – to Wounded Warrior Project headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla. The team of riders gifted the motorcycles to the injured veterans during a press conference scheduled to announce the partnership.
The six veterans – all of whom have been diagnosed with symptoms of PTSD – were hand-selected to receive the motorcycles because, although they are experienced riders, they no longer have access to bikes due to various hardships. The veterans all are affiliated with Wounded Warrior Project.
“It is important to have the support of corporations like Harley-Davidson which understand the long-term needs of our nation’s veterans and are willing to work with us to help warriors uncover and live with their ‘new normal,’ ” said John Roberts, EVP of Warrior Relations at Wounded Warrior Project. “We know from our warriors that recreational activities like motorcycle riding provide a multitude of therapeutic benefits for those living with PTSD.”
As part of the new partnership, Harley-Davidson will collaborate with Wounded Warrior Project to develop a program geared toward helping more veterans experience the positive benefits of the open road. Peer-to-peer activities, like motorcycle riding, have been known to provide positive therapeutic benefits for PTSD. One in three returning troops is diagnosed with PTSD symptoms and less than 40 percent seek help.
“We’re proud of the nearly 100 years of support Harley-Davidson has provided to the men and women who defend our country and our freedom,” said Matt Levatich, president and chief operating officer at Harley-Davidson. “Our partnership with Wounded Warrior Project builds on that legacy by supporting these veterans in their quest for strength, freedom and independence.”

MOTORCYCLE RIDERS FOUNDATION ON THE ELECTIONS–2014 Elections and Beyond
Motorcycle Riders Foundation Vice President Government Relations and Public Affairs
Now that the dust has settled on the 2014 election, the Motorcycle Riders Foundation issues its reflections on what just happened. As you probably already know, it was a good night for Republican candidates with the pick up of some unlikely Gubernatorial, Senate and House seats. The election ultimately gave the Republicans a Senate majority and the largest Republican House majority since 1929.
Some say that the Republicans received a mandate from the country on their conservative platform: that is a little far fetched, considering the President’s dismal approval ratings and the tradition of a second term president’s party receiving a walloping at the polls in the midterm elections. President Obama has also inserted himself and his policies into the fabric of peoples daily lives, and that has not had the desired effect-just the opposite actually.
The Republicans managed to capture seven additional Senate seats and possibly more, as Virginia is still too close to call. The Louisiana Senate race, according to state election law, must go to a run off in the coming weeks with polls identifying the Republican candidate with a healthy lead over the incumbent. The Republicans will have a slight majority with less than the 60 votes needed for full control. Mitch McConnell is apparently the heir to the Majority Leader position after handily defending his seat against a worthy adversary.
The Republicans also held onto and even expanded their robust control of the U.S. House of Representatives. They padded their majority, elected the first black Republican woman, and are set to re-elect speaker Boehner. Speaking of women, this Congress is now the first to elect 100 women to the House and Senate.
Longtime motorcycle champion and House transportation committee member Nick “Nicky Joe” Rahall (D-WV) lost his bid for a 20th term in the House. We are sad to see him go, and his loyalty to the motorcycling community will be missed.
Republicans also won some very unforeseen Governors races, most notably in Massachusetts and Maryland: both were stunning upsets in solid blue states. Whether the Republicans had a great midterm because of their policies, President Obama’s unpopularity, or if the Democrats just had bad candidates is up to you to decide.
Now Congress must come back to work and finish the “must pass” spending bills as well as any last minute business that the “lame duck” session will accommodate. After that, anything is possible. The next Congress will see lots of veto threats from the White House and lots of complaining from the Republicans. We will also see how the Republicans run the Senate with razor thin majority. Expect lots of partisan theatre, showdowns, and maybe even another government shut down.
The Motorcycle Riders Foundation will keep you informed on this issue, and every other matter affecting motorcyclists in Washington, D.C.

This year’s symposium featured four distinct panels providing in-depth discussions on current national firearm-related litigation, as well as a local practitioners’ panel addressing the successes and challenges of local litigation in Maryland and nearby states. Later panels addressed important new developments specifically related to firearm preemption laws, as well as critical updates on various federal and state firearms law and policy nationwide.
Each year, NRA-ILA coordinates and hosts the “Firearms Law & The Second Amendment Symposium” aiming to bring together NRA members, Second Amendment supporters, and the interested legal community for discussions that help foster a better understanding of firearm-related legal issues. Attendees have the opportunity to learn, discuss, and network with top scholars and attorneys and also receive written materials from each speaker on various topics for reference. Additionally, participating attorneys receive free Continuing Legal Education credit.
The 2014 “Firearms Law & The Second Amendment Symposium” in Baltimore proved again to be a very thought-provoking discussion of one of the most important freedoms in the Bill of Rights, and we look forward to continued success for the symposium in 2015. Surprised? Police Union Rejecting New Technology that Tracks Cops’ Driving—
By John Vibes
Ford has announced that certain models of their police interceptor vehicles will now be equipped with new tracking technology that can monitor the driving behavior of on-duty officers. However, this model may not be popular with many departments.
Police union representatives have already spoken out against this new feature, calling it intrusive.
The technology was developed by Ford and a company called Telogis. The system uses existing GPS technology to track the drivers speed, fuel usage, and even whether or not they are wearing their seat belt.
The records taken by this system would be especially useful when officers are involved in accidents that may have been their fault.
According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, more law enforcement officers die in car accidents than from firearms incidents every year. Representatives at Ford and Telogis have said that many of these fatalities occurred because the officers were not wearing their seat belts.
“The leading cause of death of police officers is crashes, and with little more than four of 10 police officers believed to be wearing seat belts on a regular basis while patrolling. We’re losing too many cops where it is preventable,” Gary Oldham, a Telogis manager said in a statement.
“Even the slightest improvements in driver training and behavior within law enforcement organizations can potentially save lives. Whether in emergency operation or not, the combination of vehicle data from this technology taken in context with different driving situations will help illustrate to police organizations where changes can be made that will have a profound effect on officer safety,” said Ford representative Bill Frykman.

NEWS FROM MEXICO–from the Week Magazine, November 14, 2014: Mexico has finally released a former Marine who was jailed for eight months after crossing the Mexican border with loaded guns in his car. Andrew Tahmooressi, 25, had recently moved to Southern California from Florida and said he took a wrong turn out of a San Ysidro parking lot and did not intend to enter Mexico.
After a congressional hearing on the case last month and intense pressure from the U.S., a Mexican judge ordered Tahmooressi’s release on humanitarian grounds, because he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. His family said he would seek treatment for “the residual effects of months of incarceration—which has taken a toll on him far worse than his two tours in Afghanistan.”

HEALTH SCARE OF THE WEEK—Our Performance editor, Ray C. Wheeler, preaches about the negative effects of drinking sodas and the positive effects of drinking Kangen water. He’ll love this report from THE WEEK Magazine November 7 edition: Drinking sugary sodas has been proved to lead to obesity, diabetes, and heart attacks. Now researchers have found evidence that the drinks could also speed up the body’s aging process.
One of the signs of the aging process is that the caps on the end of people’s chromosomes, known as telomeres, tend to shrink. When scientist at the University of California at San Francisco studied the DNA of more than 5,300 healthy Americans, they found that those who drank more sodas generally had shorter telomeres… roughly the same effect as smoking.
One the positive medical side, British and Polish doctors have found a way to fix torn spinal cords using cells from the nose. There’s hope for spinal cord injuries!

THERE YOU HAVE IT—Let’s see what we have scheduled for next week. I need to get ahold of the VA for an appointment and to see my DAV representative. I waited 40 years before Ray C. Wheeler convinced me to go after the VA for assistance, and now they drag their feet. Maybe I’ll be gone before they are forced to step up. They can only hope.
I’m going to work on another BDL pressure plate tech this coming week. I started to write another Cantina Soap Opera, and I’m working with Jon Towle on the cover art for the next Chance book, maybe my last. I love to write. I would continue to write these damn things, although they are a lot of work, but there doesn’t seem to be much of a payment forthcoming, so I may just take a break. Besides, I’m not getting any younger.
Bruce Snyder is helping me with the editing process and he just sent me the first 19 chapters to review. I believe there are 39 chapters in this book. I’m 66 years old and still learning how to write and how to organize books. If I could keep going I might reach an acceptable level of competence by the time I’m 90. Good god.
Next week a group is flooding into the Bikernet Headquarters to run the Ultimate Builder Custom Competition at the IMS motorcycle show in Long Beach. Afterwards, we are going to have a major photo shoot of 5-Ball leather and apparel.
I’m also hoping that Mr. Bare Knuckles will bring my new rear fender for the Bonne Belle and we will go to work on the aerodynamics portion to the bike, while the search for the WR or WLDR engine continues. Techs will follow shortly, and I’ve been thinking about the Mikuni Carb and air cleaner. We need to tuck in the carb and find a very aero air-cleaner.
We are starting a new month with positive vibes all around. Maybe something will surface on several fronts. I’ll keep you informed. We found the solution for fixing the Sturgis Shovel, which Krash Kranzler now owns, through Rivera/Primo. We’ve had some clutch issue, maybe caused by the strange transmission main shaft.
We are going to replace the entire unit with a Rivera/Primo Transmission, clutch, starter. belt drive system, which should answer all the questions. More techs will be forthcoming. Plus with Paughco, we are working on Kranzler’s Bagger for Bikernet Baggers. It’s going to be very cool, clean, and rideable, no big wheels front or rear.
I know there are more irons in the fire, but let’s go for a ride to the mountain, your favorite bar, or in her apartment window.
Ride Free Forever,
