Wicked Bikes – Wicked Girls

Frank over at Wicked Influence in Arvada Colorado builds a wicked bike and through some searching we found a wicked girl to match. With a passion that started with Easy Rider, Frank has been in the industry since the late 70s. After high school he went to school for motorcycle mechanics while his brother went for automotive. Frank wanted to know everything he could about bikes, he even roomed with his instructor so he could pick his brain 24×7. His first bike was a Norton 850 Commando that he rebuilt from the ground up while in school.

At 19 he bought his first motorcycle shop. The North Valley Kawasaki shop in Thornton was available and that is where he went. He didn’t ride Kawasaki just sold them. He was crazy about choppers and built many for his customers, the longer the better, all sissy bars and long forks. He had that shop until the recession and import tariffs of the 80’s priced him and many of the other metric dealers out of business. After that Frank has worked at many of the shops around the Denver area and developed his following of customers.

A couple of years ago Frank got tired of the all business attitude of the shop he was working at and decided it was time to try it on his own again. Frank is into this for the fun, for the life style, not to get rich. He wants to make sure his customers are safe, if that means giving them a break on a new set of tires that’s what he he will do. You walk in to the shop and you are welcomed in and feel like your satisfaction is his only purpose. Don’t think you will come in and order a custom bike or a modification to yours and be out in five minutes, Frank wants to get to know you and understand exactly what you want. He feels it is important to match the bike and the work with the customer. He want to get to know his customers so when they walk out with a finished product it is built just for them. Everyone who rides picks a bike that suits their personality and riding style, it is part of the joy of riding. You have to handle the motorcycle and the rider equally the same. If your bike doesn’t fit it will not be a joy to ride and chances are not safe.

Over the last two years the business has grown 10 fold, from a one man shop to a two man and really he needs four. Most of his growth is word of mouth. He takes his time and treats his customers right.
