SUNDAY POST–NEW MOTORCYCLE MANUFACTURER

Custom Chrome Show

I’m outta here if I can pry the bristling blow dryer out of the brunette’s hands. We’re headed to the Custom Chrome Road Tour in Irvine, California to see what’s new and meet with Mr. Lucky himself, Ed Martin.

Let’s get to the news quick:

Feature coming

A Tease

Here’s a taste of a bike feature we’re just about to post. It’s the green meanie. The owner sent me a shot of this hot number before the paint was dry and the seat covered. We’ve waited patiently. We’ll launch it sometime next week. Hold on.

We also let another segment of the Cantina Soap Opera fly, a new Chance Hogan Chapter is being posted along with another Bandit Life and Times. Hang on.

Guess which dresser belongs to Jose? The Bikernet King Scuttlebutt

We’ll launch any advice, suggestions, parts recommendations, complaints or stories we run across about Road Kings. One of our main King contacts is Paul at Charlotte H-D. He’s a master mechanic and usually slips us sage advice from a mechanical and performance perspective. Here’s some recent dialogue: Hey Paul,

I saw the EFI module in the new P and A catalog for 2003. It’s a SE43 EFI induction module, 27615-00. It says it works well with the SE heads. Let me know what you think.

Yo, dipshit,

On page 460 in the P&A book the module is designed for 99-01 TC EFI models. You have the new Dephi system for 03, big differences man. That’s why I said look at Berry Gerolamy’s stuff for your model or at least talk to him. Meaning that you seem to want to change the stock EFI induction module you have now. He has designed a dual throat type EFI induction module for the new Dephi system that you have on your bike (Not Road Kill).

The SE 203 cam is pretty mild to me. Something like a Andrews TW37 might be better which also has spec’s close to the SE 204. The SE 211 matches p with the new SE heads. By the way which SE heads were you looking at????

We’re after low and mid range snap.

Tuesday Morning Punishment Zebediah was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young layers, called pullets, and eight or ten roosters, whose jobs were to fertilize the eggs. Zeb kept records, and any rooster or pullet that didn’t perform well went into the pot, and was replaced. That took an awful lot of time, so Zeb got a set of tiny bells and attached them to his roosters.

Now he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report simply by listening to the bells.

Zeb’s favorite rooster was old Brewster. A very fine specimen he was too, only his bell had not rung all morning! Zeb went to investigate. Several roosters were chasing pullets, bells a-ringing! BUT, Brewster had his bell in his beak so it couldn’t ring. He’d sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one. Zeb was so proud of Brewster that he entered him in the county fair.

Brewster was an overnight sensation! The judges not only awarded him the No Bell Piece Prize; he was also given the …Pulletsurprise

The Avon Wide Tire Tech Report

By Frank Kaisler

In reference to the question about wide tires on a mid ’70s Shovel swingarm frame with a Panhead driveline, I’d say the biggest tire that can be run would be a 130 maybe a 140 depending on the side wall of the tire (tire to chain clearance). The main problem as I see it is the ’49 Panhead driveline. These engines came with a tapered sprocket shaft that doesn’t lend itself readily to offsetting the transmission, due the minimal selection of offset sprockets sprockets for this type of shaft.

Another point, would be the inner primary case and the engine case would have to be modified to bolt together. Early Panhead cases have a cast in lip that was used to locate the front of the tin inner primary cover, later hard aluminum inner primary covers were machined flat in the area where they mated to the engine cases.

If this gentleman is still using an early 4-speed transmission case or wants to, he will need to modify the transmission mounting plate and fifth bolt mount, when moving the trans to the left and all. A suggestion would be to go to a later model case, so an inner primary can be mounted or a motor plate if some one offers a plate with a belt drive kit.

A quick and cheap (relatively) way of going to a 150 tire would be to run a primary chain with some type of shroud. Fit a 1/4 inch longer mainshaft in the transmission, and obtain another front motor sprocket. Machine both sprockets so they fit inside each other. In plain terms, machine the center out of one and the teeth from the other until they just slip fit together, offset them the same as the trans mainshaft and weld them together.

Fatherly Advice From The Cantina

On the eve of his wedding night, a young man went to his mother with the following question: “Mom, why are wedding dresses white?” The mother looked at her son and replied, “Son, this shows the town that your bride is pure.”

The son thanked his mom and went to double-check this with his father. “Dad, why are wedding dresses white?”

The father said, “All household appliances come in white”

French Woman Pays $2 Fine For Baring Chest At Airport

EVANSVILLE, Indiana (AP) – A French woman accused of baring her breasts during an airport security screening pleaded guilty Friday and paid a $2 fine. Eliane Yvonne Marcele Aguillaume, 56, of Paris, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts, resisting law enforcement and public indecency. She was initially arrested Monday on a preliminary felony count of disorderly conduct, but that charge was never officially filed.

She was fined $1 on each misdemeanor count, but she also will be required to pay court costs of about $130.

Aguillaume was arrested Monday at Evansville Regional Airport after she allegedly stripped to the waist in an angry response to a security screener’s attempt to search her with a metal-detecting wand.

During a routine security screening, Aguillaume kept reaching inside her sweater, prompting guards to search her again.

Aguillaume then became upset and removed her sweater, shirt and bra before trying to pull away as an officer tried to handcuff her, police said. She later dropped to the ground and refused to get up.

Aguillaume has been visiting Evansville for a relative’s wedding.

New Australian Biker Law New laws may be introduced in South Australia to stop motorcycle clubs from becoming involved in security firms, amid concerns the companies are being used as fronts for criminal operations. South Australian Attorney-General Michael Atkinson says the clubs are suspected of organizing friendly crowd controllers at pubs and clubs, giving them the chance to sell drugs at the venues. “What we suspect is that a particular motorcycle gang became involved in this area and, we think, purchased a firm supplying security agents, that they lined up a whole lot of people who were clean-skins with no criminal record to act as the licensed security agents . . . our suspicion is they were improperly influenced by the biker gang,” Mr Atkinson said. He rejected suggestions police were unwilling to tackle the gangs because they feared retribution. “Police have tackled biker gangs head on ? they have a special operation, Operation Avatar, to deal with them.”

It is reported that at least four clubs are involved in two Adelaide-based security companies and two nightclubs. “It gives them better access to clientele and even to the younger customers,” a source said. The gang-run security firms often targeted under-age functions because youth were considered “more dependable customers”, the source said. It is impossible to link the clubs to the security firms or any illegal activity because the employed people have clean records. “These clean-skins ? the majority of them are good people, it’s just that they’re bankrolled by these people and it’s good money.”

Security Institute president Stephen Tribbins said the institute met police every two months to discuss issues of concern, and gang involvement had been raised. “I understand there is one documented case where a biker gang became involved in a crowd-control company, and we did pass that on to the police,” he said.

Differences in licensing systems from state to state caused the industry problems, Mr Tribbins said. In South Australia, a state police check was required for people seeking a license. “It might be better for someone like the Australian Federal Police to have control of that,” he said.

See I always said it would come to this….Dont matter who ya are …If ya resemble a outlaw ya will be treated like an outlaw!!!!!! BringItOnCockSuckers……….

Dear Tech Support

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slowdown in the overall performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0″.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0 and NBA 3.0 . And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I’ve tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail”. What can I do?

Dear Desperate:

“First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system”.

“Try to enter the command: C:/I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0. If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5”.

“But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1. Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will create Snoring Loudly. WAV files.”

“Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0”.

“In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 7.7”.

Good Luck,

Tech Support

Let’s Ride–The Custom Chrome Road Tours was slow, but it brought out suppliers from all over the southland and even a couple from the midwest. The day was perfect, the sun shinning and Paul Yaffee’s bikes were cool along with Chica’s, Chrome Speciality creations from various builders who worked with Ed Martin, the president and new parts.

Layla and I were in and out of the show in two hours and headed back toward the coast for trouble with the blonde. Then I remembered the Sunday Post. How the hell did I ever get tied to this mess, working on Sundays. I threatened to quit but the blond gave me that look that indicated a reduction in one of my two favorite activities. I cringed and fired up the computer. Let’s ride.
