It?s Sunday madness. The weather is perfect for a ride, a workout, a margarita on the harbor with a voluptuous maiden. We?ve got plenty of shapely figures for the post, hang on. The Girls of Bikernet fever is growing.
Regarding my Sturgis Chop I ran into a problem and just as quick a solution. Incredible, Kent Weeks, the Satan of Lucky Devil Metal Works in Houston called, ?What about a kicker?? My first reaction was, ?Cool.? But I didn?t have one and didn?t like some kickers systems for 5-speeds I?d seen.

?Yes you do,? Sin Wu shouted from the other end of the headquarters. She was right. I had the one Muller in Germany sent us to write a tech article on. It?s sharp, will miss the exhaust pipe by a mile and eliminate a starter all together. Perfect for a Shovel. Let?s hit the news:

My best friend/drinking buddy from the navy sent me this link to website www.fuckingmachines.com There is one paticular machine called “the chopper” that has handlebars and a throttle and all. Thought ya might get a kick outta it. Here’s the page it should be on if not go to the above address and and you can find it there. http://www.fuckingmachines.com/meetthemachines/machine_chopper/
Funny I should mention my friend from the navy. we went to boot camp together although not in the same company. same division though. Worked together during “galley week”. Went to fireman ATD together and got stationed on the same ship. Met him in Chicago to fly out to the ship together. I was always the motorcycle dude and he would ride bitch behind me going out to meet woman. Now I’m a custodian and he is a custom fabricator/wrench in a shop in his hometown up in Illinois. Funny how things work out sometimes.

Soon after the site is launched we will look around for other photographers to contribute to Girls of Bikernet. Kurt Lout from Denver, Colorado will be the first on the list.
He?s already on the streets finding talent and hot looking bikes to go with the girls.

On SpeedTV they are replacing Corbin’s Ride On (CRO) in the Tuesday line-up. I was a little miffed, but hold on I checked the listings on Speed TV there is a link to CRO. CRO is moving to the weekends and check this out. the Company that produces CRO, also does the show that is taking its slot, Hardtailz,My Classic Car and CRO are all made by the same company.
I liked the new products you are showing in the news section. here is a product you might find interesting Harley-Davidson has a new Screamin Eagle Active Performance Muffler Kit, it uses a Servo activated butterfly valve in the Muffler to control exhaust flow. So far it is only for the EFI-TC Touring bikes. it requires a recall of the ECM. It is similar to the system on the Buell XB12 to help with low end power.
It is part number 65467-05 cost 699.99 I’am told.
As a side note some import sport bikes use a power valve of some sort to help with throttle response which they need some Japanese rev to 15,000 rpm the power does not really come unitl around 6000-8000 rpms. That’s why I like V-twins low end power and you don’t have to rev the piss out of them.
On Syn 3, I have been using it for 2 years now and have not have had any problems no weeps or anything, in fact my bike hardly uses any oil. This is a Sporty that had synthetic oil in since it’s first oil change first Mobil One for bikes and I switched to SYN 3 because it is easier to get. My local suppliers for mobil one usually never have enough on hand to do a oil change, and I like being able to use one type of oil. Just for the record the SE Fatboy with it’s hi-po engine has SYN 3 in it right from the factory, there is even a decal on the oil cap stating such.

The Predator Motorcycle Is a 130 HP American Muscle Bike Manufactured By Rucker Performance
Fort Worth, Texas (June 23, 2005) ?The nation?s fastest Pastor on two and four wheels, Star Scott, purchased a first-round production model of Rucker Performance?s Predator motorcycle from Arlen Ness Motorcycles in Daytona, Florida during 2005 Daytona Bike Week.
?I wasn?t even looking for a motorcycle.? said Star. ?I just felt like I needed to buy it.?
Star has been thrilled since he made his purchase. Back home in Sterling, VA, he put the Predator through its paces and found that the bike is stable at all speeds, handles well and has exceptional balance with a 300 rear tire.
He also knows a thing or two about performance. He and his wife Greer race dragsters in the IHRA series and owns many high-performance cars like an 855 HP blown Corvette, F355 F1 GTS Ferrari, 1967 Grand Sport replica and the country?s fastest stock ZR-1.
?The Predator Motorcycle is our latest high-performance American Muscle Bike created at our production facilities in Fort Worth, Texas.? said Bill Rucker, President of Rucker Performance. ?Not only does it have the fit and finish of a custom bike, the Predator pumps out 130 HP through our S&S Cycle 124 CI engine.?
Star took his bike to a local Motorcycle show in the suburbs of Washington D.C. where 1,500 bikes were vying for awards and prizes. The judges didn?t realize that the Predator was a production bike so he had to submit it into the ultra-radical Custom class. Even though this class was more competitive, the Predator motored away with the trophy for first place.

One night at Cheers, Cliff Clavin explained the “Buffalo Theory” to his buddy, Norm. “Well ya see, Norm, it’s like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kill brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine!
That’s why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

All too rarely, airline attendants make an effort to make the in flight “safety lecture” and announcements a bit more entertaining. Here are some real examples that have been heard or reported:
1. On a Southwest flight (SW has no assigned seating, you just sit where you want) passengers were apparently having a hard time choosing, when a flight attendant announced, “People, people we’re not picking out furniture here, find a seat and get in it!”
2. On a Continental Flight with a very “senior” flight attendant crew, the pilot said, “Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve reached cruising altitude and will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants.”
3. On landing, the stewardess said, “Please be sure to take all of your belongings. If you’re going to leave anything, please make sure it’s something we’d like to have.
4. “There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane”
5. “Thank you for flying Delta Business Express. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride.”
6. As the plane landed and was coming to a stop at Ronald Reagan, a lone voice came over the loudspeaker: “Whoa, big fella. WHOA!”
7. After a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms in Memphis, a flight attendant on a Northwest flight announced, “Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because, after a landing like that, sure as hell everything has shifted.”
8. >From a Southwest Airlines employee: “Welcome aboard Southwest Flight 245 to Tampa.. To operate your seat belt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seat belt; and, if you don’t know how to operate one, you probably shouldn’t be out in public unsupervised.”
9. “In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are traveling with more than one small child, pick your favorite.”
10. “Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but we’ll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Southwest Airlines.”

Here are a couple of new pieces I have done recently. Let me know if you can use them. I have not submitted these to anyone else…..Bikernet exclusive!

According to a new article in ‘Cosmopolitan’ magazine, they say the position you sleep in says a lot about you.
They say women who sleep on their sides are sensitive, women who sleep on their stomachs are competent, and women who sleep on their backs with their ankles behind their ears are very popular.

A man and a woman, who have never met before, but are both married to other people, found themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a Transcontinental train.
Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, They were both very tired and fell Asleep quickly… he in the upper bunk and she in the lower.
At 1:00 AM, the man leaned over and gently woke the woman saying, “Ma’am, I’m sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I’m awfully cold.”
“I have a better idea,” she replied. “Just for tonight, let’s pretend that we’re married.”
“Wow! That’s a great idea!” he exclaimed.
“Good,” she replied. “Get your own fucking blanket!”
After a moment of silence, he farted.

My name is John Costley.Im sending this email out to all the magazines that I subscribe to.Some of you may think its rude to send it to all of you at the same time, but I’m a two fingered typist and doing it this way will save me a little time.It might also inspire a little competition amongst you all, and that’s not a bad thing from a readers point of view. Over the last two days I have been having an interesting email conversation with Pete Brock of Axtell. I am forwarding copies of those emails to you to help put things in perspective and to save me from having to retype some of it. When I get back from Iraq in January I’m going to buy a new bike. I have always ridden Sportsters and had thought about moving up to a twin cam, mostly because there aren?t many easy ways to increase displacement in a Sporty and I want to build the bike up after I ride it stock for a while.
I checked out Axtell’s web site after someone told me about their big bore kits. I?m a blue collar guy with bills to pay so I’ve never been big on the idea of spending the money for the labor to split the cases to install a stroker kit, and if I decide to buy another Sportster, the new rubber mounts on the Sporty having such a tight tolerance a stroker kit probably wouldn’t fit anyway.
On Axtell’s site I found that they make an affordable piston and cylinder kit that brings a Sporty up to 88″, with a square bore & stroke. They also have twin cam kits that give 100 inches with a sqaure configuration and 107-inch in an oversquare set up.Their twin cam kit is cheaper than the Screamin’ eagle 103-inch kit even without considering the labor differance. My question is why haven’t any of you ever mentioned a square combo There are probably a lot of Sportster guys who would like to have 88-incher, and a lot of twin cam riders who would like to have 100-inch, both without spending the money for new flywheels & rods or the large amount of labor money to split the cases. Not all of us can rebuild our own bottom end, but we still would like to have big cubes. After checking out Axtell Im now daydreaming about a real sleeper, a brand new bright orange 883R with an 88-inch kit, that still looks stock but has twin cam power with quicker revs and less weight.
Thanks for listening,
John Costley,Sabattus,Maine.

John,
This is Pete with Axtell Sales. On your square motor questions this is what I can tell you. On the XL combinations I have seen really good luck with guys using our 88ci kits (Cast Iron, or Aluminum) with Buell Thunderstorm Heads (Dual Plug), SE 536 or Red Shift 585 cams, Daytona Twin Tec Ignition, 45mm Mikuni carb, and using Cycle Shack 1 ?-inch 2 into 2 exhaust. Real strong numbers can come from this with proper tuning.
The 107 square motors can run many different combinations. One thing is for sure that solid lifters and adjustable pushrods we have seen make up to 17 extra ft/lbs of torque on our dyno. The cams varies along with what you want the bike for. The carb could also be a 45mm Mikuni or depends how much your going to want to spend for heads we could even use the 48mm Mikuni. The SE CNC Ported HTCC Heads work rather well or if you want some heads that are hand ported and really had time put into them we can get you those.
Ignition would be the Daytona Twin Tec Ignition and for exhaust I would also run Cycle Shack Exhaust maybe even 2-inch but one thing is for sure I would use a 2 into 2 system.
I would love to see a big ad of ours in one of those magazines but it cost alot of money. We try to focus more on the customer at hand rather than making fancy ads. If we could more guys like you to write in to them and talk about our product it would be cool to get an article about what we do and have. Keep talking about our product and if you need any info let me know. Anything else let me know.

THAT?S IT FOR SUNDAY–The heat is on for The Girls of Bikernet and our entire crew is working on it. I’ve been dealing with guys in prison for 35 years. Some good and some bad. Recently I received this binder in the mail from a guy. I was impressed with his workmanship and we may sell a couple of handmade products from him. If he delivers. Watch for more in an upcoming news.

Well here she is. The Sturgis Chop rolling together. If all goes well with the Muller kicker then she’ll be running in the next two weeks after I wire her, install the Rev Tech brake lines to the Brembo brakes and Joker controls. I’ll line up the entire bike with the BDL belt drive and she’ll fire to life with a Compu-fire single fire ignition.

Ride Forever,
–Bandit
