Still in Australia, and Bandit is returning from the Sand Drags tonight. It about 9:43 am here in Noosa and today we?re having a slight storm. No. 1 Hastings Street units go up a hill, so the units are terraced. I?m in unit 17 which has me up pretty high off the street. The clouds moving by at a steady pace seem close enough to touch, and the air is so fresh. I love storms?
The news and Sunday Post, as you can tell are different when I do them; Bandit includes personal emails and other things that I think are crap, but you may like them, I don?t know. Next week?s news will be done by him and back to what you?re use to
Here is your Sunday Post–

Saxon Motorcycle Company Announces EU Type Approval– Casa Grande, AZ ?March 20, 2007- Representatives of Saxon Motorcycles Europe proudly announced today that they have obtained the European Type approval, making all of their bikes “road legal” and allowing them to be licensed by dealers in every country of the European Union (EU) and Switzerland. Saxon Motorcycles Europe, founded in January 2006 by Frank Vermeulen and Rinke Andringa of the Netherlands, was created specifically to provide the European market with custom, American-style motorcycles.
E.U Type approval is a giant step for Saxon, a move reaffirming Saxon as a leader in the motorcycle industry and an addition to an already exciting year. So far in 2007 Saxon introduced the new model line to critical acclaim and most recently the Griffin Chopper won Production Chopper of the Year at the V-Twin expo.
“Obtaining European Type approval is a huge accomplishment for Saxon” said David Schwam, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Saxon Motorcycle Company USA. “The team at Saxon Europe has worked tirelessly to allow us to become one of the first American made production custom motorcycles available in Europe and we are convinced that they will do a great job of upholding our commitment to customer service and dealer support.”
“Obtaining approval in such a short period of time was a huge challenge. Not only did we need to demonstrate that our bikes were in conformity with strict European standards on safety, emissions and sound, but that we had the infrastructure in place to properly support our customers and dealers” said Frank Vermeulen. “We’re very pleased that we were able to obtain approval and make our line-up available in our dealers showrooms this selling season” Frank added.
The Type approval has been granted for two European models, the Warlord, a rebellious US High-neck Chopper, and the Firestorm, a long and low Pro-street. This is one of the first steps that Saxon is taking to ensure its position domestically and internationally. Both models come standard with a two-year unlimited mileage warranty, 96″ (1573cc) S&S engine, 260 rear tire, right side drive transmission and softail-frame. “The bikes not only look great, but they’re extremely comfortable and well balanced,” said Rinke Andringa. At this point there is no other production custom motorcycle company that has received such a high approval rating throughout the EU.

HOW TO PROPERLY PLACE NEW EMPLOYEES —
1. Put 400 bricks in a closed room.
2. Put your new hires in the room and close the door.
3. Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours.
4. Then analyze the situation:
a. If they are counting the bricks, put them in the Accounting Department.
b. If they are recounting them, put them in Auditing.
c. If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks, put them in Engineering.
d. If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order, put them in Planning.
e. If they are throwing the bricks at each other, put them in Operations.
f. If they are sleeping, put them in Security.
g. If they have broken the bricks into pieces, put them in Information Technology.
h. If they are sitting idle, put them in Human Resources.
i. If they say they have tried different combinations, they are looking for more, yet not a brick has been moved, put them in Sales.
j. If they have already left for the day, put them in Marketing.
k. If they are staring out of the window, put them in Strategic Planning.
l. If they are talking to each other, and not a single brick has been moved, congratulate them and put them in Top Management.
m. If they have surrounded themselves with bricks in such a way that they can neither be seen nor heard from, put them in Congress.

Police want Maltese millionaire biker out of Australia– Malta – Alex Vella, known as ?the Maltese Falcon?, the renowned leader of the Rebels, Australia?s largest biker gang, is stranded in Japan and may not be given a visa to return to Australia, where he lived for 40 years. Alex Vella, 53, left Malta in the 1960s, alongside hudreds of other Maltese in search of a better life in the land down under. In Malta he worked on a construction site for a few cents a day. Now he is a millionaire biker, landlord of numerous properties in Sydney, the owner of what is probably Australia?s largest collection of Harley Davidson bikes, and a sizeable list of luxury cars. Police want him out
In Australia, Vella is known for several run ins with police, mostly related to his life in the biker world. In 1995 he was also found guilty of being in possession of ?a trafficable quantity of cannabis in his home?, Australia?s The Sunday Times reported. A few years later, 60 police officers raided his house and confiscated over Lm776,000 worth of property, vehicles, bikes and other assets (3 million Australian Dollars). These were later returned. Alex and his son Adam
A few weeks ago, the ?Maltese Falcon? left to Japan, to accompany his son Adam, a prominent Australian boxer for a competitive round against a Japanese boxer. But the biker could not return to Australia, as his resident visa expired, and police are now asking the immigration office not to give him a renewal. ?The police will argue that along with Mr Vella having a previous drug conviction, his position of authority within the motorcycle gang means he does not pass the immigration test of good character?.
Alex Vella is now waiting for the Australian immigration authorities? decision, but if police get their way, the Rebel biker may never again set foot on the land that made him a multi millionaire.
