Progressive heavy metal band Queensrÿche will take to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip main stage armed with its arsenal of hit songs including “Silent Lucidity,” “I Don’t Believe in Love,” “Jet City Woman” and “Revolution Calling” Saturday, Aug. 2. The three decades worth of hits they’ll be performing at the world-famous motorcycle and music festival have helped the band to move over 30 million albums and sell out shows all over the world, Queensrÿche’s Buffalo Chip performance will take place prior to that of British, post-punk hard rockers, The Cult, on day two of the nine-day music festival,
“Queensrÿche and The Cult are a great combination of bands to help kick off the first weekend of the festival,” said Rod Woodruff, President of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “Guests who have just arrived will be riding high in anticipation of the good times ahead, and these two bands’ explosive energy will keep them there.”
The Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling™ officially kicks off its early bird party on July 28 and its annual Friday Fest bash on Friday, Aug. 1. In addition to top-name, nightly concerts, guests are invited to drool over top custom bikes a number of unique bike shows, fly over the amphitheater on the zip line, roll a strike at midget bowling, enter one of many off-the-wall contests and experience the multitude of other daily activities happening exclusively at the Buffalo Chip.
