It’s difficult to display Muni-Meter receipts on motorcycles because they are stollen or blown away, bike enthusiasts Councilman Peter Vallone Jr. (D-Astoria) and Assemblyman Michael Den Dekker (D-Jackson Heights) say, which leads to countless unfair parking tickets.
Vallone has introduced legislation in the council and DenDekker in the the state Assembly to allow bikes to park free at Muni Meters — though they still will pay at conventional ones.
