Suzuki To Premiere Its First Hydrogen Test Bike At 2023 Japan Mobility Show The Suzuki Hydrogen Burgman is among several world premiere vehicles from the house of Hamamatsu. Suzuki has preferred the 2023 Japan Mobility Show as the event to unveil its first-ever hydrogen-powered two-wheeler for the world. The company has mentioned it a test vehicle, so it is not a concept. Suzuki is currently researching hydrogen engine development and has yet to put it into consumer focused production. The exhibit will include a test vehicle using a Burgman 400 ABS outfitted with a 70 megapascal (MPa) hydrogen tank and a corresponding engine. Suzuki will also host panels and show videos to illustrate its progress in hydrogen engine development. The bike is ‘sick‘ … it’s a 1955 Harley Davidson Model K … and it’s the same one used on-screen in Johnny’s 1990 cult classic film. The Harley is going up for sale through Kruse GWS Auctions and the opening bid is being set at $250,000 … with potential buyers needing to bid in $25,000 increments if they want to win Johnny’s movie ride. If that sounds kinda steep, keep in mind the immense popularity wave Johnny’s riding since winning the defamation case over Amber Heard. Fact is, all things Depp-related are commodities nowadays. The auction house says the Harley was the “picture bike” used throughout filming in principal photography … both on location in Maryland and also in Hollywood. The bike’s changed hands over the years, and is currently on display in a museum in Branson, Missouri following years of displays in different exhibits across the country. Also included in the auction is Janis Joplin’s mandolin, which she once gifted to Jimi Hendrix. The instrument is hand-painted with flowers and phrases … including “Love Thy Neighbor” and Jimi’s name. The auction house says the mandolin’s been in a private collection for 20 years and is on the market for the first time. They estimate that it will go for $250k. Americade reschedules 2021 motorcycle rally for Sept. 21-25

from https://www.news10.com After last year’s rally being canceled, the 2021 Americade Motorcycle Touring Rally is playing things as safe as possible in order to rev the engines around the COVID-19 pandemic. The 38th annual Americade rally has been rescheduled from its original planned June dates to Sept. 21-25, according to event manager Christian Dutcher. That additional time was added to make the difference in safety confidence for riders, vendors, and the village of Lake George. “We want to make 100% sure that a 2021 Americade will happen, but we’re not confident an event of this size will be permissible in June,” said Dutcher. “But, moving it to September gives us a very high likelihood of it happening. And, September is also a perfect time of year for riding, with mild temperatures, no rain, and foliage season beginning. It should be beautiful.” Americade said that the decision also helped them to secure certain venues, some of which can more easily agree to involvement with more time for vaccines to be administered across the state and nation, and ideally for coronavirus restrictions to be lifted. The new dates also allow riders and visitors to enjoy the village during the fall, not too far past the summer tourist season, without bumping heads against Labor Day weekend. “We’re very lucky to have found a 2021 date that works for the community and for the motorcycle industry,” said Dutcher. “I feared we may have to cancel until Americade 2022, but miraculously we are able to slide it into September.”
