Pop Evil to Kick Off 2018 Rally at Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Metal-rockers Pop Evil will break open “The Best Party Anywhere!”® in 2018. The band’s crunchy guitars and propulsive metal rhythms will boost the party at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip into high gear straight out of the gate when they take the Wolfman Jack Stage on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018. To accommodate Pop Evil’s performance and provide a solid night of American country rock, The Marshall Tucker Band will move to Tuesday, Aug. 7 to open for former Staind frontman turned chart-topping, country-rock artist Aaron Lewis.

“We’re not wasting any time this year, we’re taking it straight to the red line with Pop Evil on the first night,” said Rod Woodruff, Sturgis Buffalo Chip President. “Their contemporary hard rock performance will sound the wake-up call for everyone coming to experience the rally this year. No one is going to want to miss this explosive opening at the Buffalo Chip.”

Pop Evil began the climb to rock stardom with its second album titled, “War of Angels.” The single “Last Man Standing” rose to Billboard’s Active Rock Chart Top 20 and “Boss’s Daughter,” released on the same album, co-written and performed with Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars, hit Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Top 10. Subsequent albums propelled singles such as “Footsteps,” “Trenches,” “Deal with the Devil” and “Torn to Pieces” all to no. 1 on the same chart.
