Victory Motorcycles to Unveil 15th Anniversary Special at International Motorcycle Show in New York City

Victory Motorcycles has several special attractions on tap for the International Motorcycle Show in New York City, Jan. 18-20, including the introduction of a limited-edition 15th Anniversary model.

It was 15 years ago that the first Victory motorcycles hit the open road. Victory No. 1 – a V92C classic cruiser – was built on the Fourth of July 1998 at the Polaris/Victory production facility in Spirit Lake, Iowa. The limited edition 15th Anniversary Victory models will be produced on the same assembly line after the bike is unveiled in New York.

“We are excited to celebrate 15 years with our passionate riders,” said Steve Menneto, Polaris VP Motorcycles. “Victory riders are men and women who demand the best Cruisers, Baggers, and Touring bikes on the road and we are excited to celebrate this exciting time with them while also continuing to develop new models to ensure more great riding ahead.”

Victory’s New York IMS Plans

The Victory display at the New York IMS will include the complete 2013 Victory motorcycle lineup – Cruisers, Baggers and Touring models – as well as a large collection of new Victory apparel. Other highlights of the display and the New York show weekend will include:

• Victory Bagger Bar: Riders can take a seat at the Victory Bagger Bar to learn more about Victory baggers and accessories from Victory engineers and accessories developers. Tablets at the Victory Bagger Bar will provide interactive access to the accessories catalog and allow riders to virtually “build” accessorized Victory models.

• National Motorcycle Museum Ness Victory Custom: Legendary custom bike builders – and Victory dealers – Arlen Ness and Cory Ness will introduce the Ness Custom Cross Country that will be raffled off to raise funds for the National Motorcycle Museum (www.nationalmcmuseum.org) in Anamosa, Iowa. Victory donated the bike and the Nesses customized it into a one-of-a-kind custom that includes museum graphics. The bike will be unveiled Friday, Jan. 18, after the Victory 15th Anniversary model is introduced

• ‘Gunny’ & The Bunnies: Actor, Victory rider and retired U.S. Marine R. Lee Ermey – better known as “The Gunny” – will be at the Victory display for autograph and photo sessions with riders, as will Playboy Playmates who appeared in the 2013 Victory Motorcycles brochure.

The Bunnies are scheduled to be at the Victory display: Friday, Jan. 18, 1-3 p.m., 4-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; and Saturday, Jan. 19, 10-11 a.m., noon-2 p.m., 5-6 p.m., and 7-9 p.m.

Gunny is scheduled to appear Saturday, Jan. 19, at: 10 a.m.-noon, 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m.
