Romney, Ryan visit Biketoberfest

 

Biketoberfest is back today with the return of thousands of roaring Harley-Davidson riders in their leather and jeans, gearing up for rock concerts and beer.

But even the city's fall motorcycle rally can't escape the political season.

The city is bracing for a unique double-header Friday night, with Biketoberfest at full blast and a political rally by Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan. The rally at the Daytona Beach Bandshell starts at 8 p.m., with ticket-holders allowed into the beachfront venue at 6 p.m.
