'Renegade' motorcyclists ride to promote safety

FORT BLISS, Texas — Motorcycle enthusiasts from the 1st Battalion, 362nd Air Defense Artillery, Task Force Renegade, 5th Armored Brigade, Division West, recently participated in the Fall Joint Armed Forces Motorcycle Safety Rally here.

The rally promotes motorcycle safety to all active duty, National Guard, Army Reserve Soldiers, as well as retirees, family members, Department of Defense and contract civilians.

The ride began around 9 a.m. with about 350 riders heading to White Sands Missile Range, N.M., the halfway point for the ride. The stop gave riders an opportunity to get gas and something warm to drink to combat the 45-to-50-degree temperatures. The riders then turned around and headed back to Fort Bliss.
