Enerpulse, Inc., makers of the Pulstar® Pulse Plug, participated in the 34th J&P Cycles Open House Rally in Anamosa, Iowa on June 29 and 30. Harley-Davidson® Screamin’ Eagle® Factory Team rider Kenny Coolbeth won a heat race and finished eighth in the AMA Pro Flat Track presented by J&P Cycles Grand National Twins main on a hot Saturday night at Hagerstown Speedway. Dodge Brothers Racing rider Brad Baker won the main on a Harley-Davidson XR750 motorcycle to claim the first Grand National victory of his career. Coolbeth qualified for the main with a close win over Kawasaki rider Jake Shoemaker in the third 10-lap heat race. The pair battled for most of the heat before Coolbeth prevailed by 0.031 seconds. She's not exactly a biker chick. But she doesn't mind being called a motorcycle mama. Even in her 60s, too, it appears that nothing is putting the brakes on Dr. Pat Hunter, the guru of all things Harley and Honda on the campus of Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon, Va. "If you call Virginia Highlands and mention motorcycles, the switchboard will automatically put you to my extension," said Hunter, the retired director of the college's library and instructional ser-vices. Hunter worked in the college library from 1972 to 2006. Today, she's an adjunct college instructor, teaching a motorcycle riding and safety course.
