unnamedKendon, the originator of the Stand-Up™ trailer concept, is now owned by a private equity firm and says it has new products in the works. Kendon plans to expand its line of Ride-Up Trailers.

“The first objective is to increase our production so supply will meet the demand,” says company President Frank Esposito. “Kendon is pleased to announce that it has established a funding source. This will allow the brand to react to an ever-increasing demand for Kendon Stand-Up Trailers and accessories.”

Back in 1991 Ken and Tina Thurm started Kendon with a vision of building the best motorcycle trailer on the market and throughout the years they’ve worked side by side growing Kendon. While Tina will leave the company to pursue other professional and personal interests, Ken Thurm will continue to consult on future Kendon products.

Thurm revolutionized the concept of a totally portable trailer that could “stand up” out of the way, freeing up workspace in any garage. Within a few short months, the Kendon Stand-Up™ trailer had created an entirely new category of trailer, and over two decades later, the concept clearly still works. “We are grateful to Ken for his vision and I am very pleased that he will continue to consult with us on product design and manufacturing.”

“Through the efforts of many, we are well poised to respond to the ever-increasing demand from our customers,” concludes Esposito. “This marks my seventh year with Kendon and I can say with utmost confidence that there is a very bright future Kendon in 2015!”
