Harley-Davidson has issued a voluntary recall for 2014 Touring and CVO Touring motorcycles, claiming a potential problem in the front brake line.
The recall includes a total of 66,421 motorcycles that were manufactured between July 1, 2013, and May 7, 2014.
Roger Roeszler, technical research and support manager of Harley-Davidson, wrote to the NHTSA on June 11 that the motorcycles affected in the recall “may have been assembled with a front brake line in a position where it could become pinched between the fuel tank and the frame.” The problem — if left undetected — could result in a front wheel lock-up. Harley initiated the recall to correct the problem.
