This was covered in The Week Magazine this week. A former racing driver blinded in an accident last year became the first sightless man to race on Bonneville Salt Flats. Dan Parker, 43, completed a 2-mile run on a a custom-build  trike at over 55 mph. Guided by GPS giving him audible cues, he was instructed which way to turn.

We will bring more reports on his efforts in the near future.

“I had to have another goal in life,” Parker said after his historic run.
