Hey, The rally is starting next week and at the last minute we are buying a Bikernet Billboard in Sturgis. It’s another project, but what the fuck. We are working with Markus Cuff on a Petersen Museum motorcycle exhibit featuring long distance motorcycles. Some wild bikes. I’ll sign books for donations to Kid’s Ride at the Builder’s Breakfast coming up next weekend. Never stop or slow down and always fight for the freedom to ride fast and free. –Bandit Click Here to Read the Weekly News on Bikernet.com Join the Cantina for more – Subscribe Today. https://www.bikernet.com/pages/custom/subscription.aspx

Paradise Bikernet Weekly News for July 15th, 2021

Thursdays are often wild days. Thursdays are tough since I’m trying to focus on the news. Brothers are calling about Sturgis plans, which are ever-changing. We are working with Markus Cuff on a feature around a new whacky Petersen Museum Exhibit on long distance travelers. I’m working on a report about stolen motorcycle stories. I was thinking about a fictional series, but I may just post the real stories. There are lessons in each one. In the meantime, remember to ride free. We are living in the best of times. –Bandit Click Here to Read the Weekly News only on Bikernet.com Join the Cantina for more – Subscribe Today. https://www.bikernet.com/pages/custom/subscription.aspx

Custom Harley-Davidson Is All About America, Built Elsewhere

by Daniel Patrascu from https://www.autoevolution.com Motorcycles and freedom are two notions that are most often associated with the American way of life. Responsible for the former are the local bike makers, of course, with Harley-Davidson playing a big part. As for the latter, well, it’s the way Americans chose to build and run their society. These two notions have spread fast around the world, and you don’t need us to tell you that, at least as far as freedom goes. But you might need us to find out about the countless motorcycle builders out there that take a lot of inspiration from American motorcycles when doing their own projects. For more than a year now, we’ve traveled virtually around Europe to uncover custom motorcycle projects based on Harley-Davidson bikes. We found most of them in Germany, where many custom shops exist, but there are incredible ideas coming from elsewhere as well. Like, say Poland, where a shop by the name BTChoppers resides. Like a lot of other European businesses of its kind, it too got recognition from the land of Harley-Davidson, and the bike maker itself. Back in 2011, for instance, during the AMD World Championships in Sturgis, South Dakota, Harley awarded the Pick of Excellence title to a BTChoppers build. That would be the one we have here, aptly titled Bit of Freedom. The bike is a custom build from the ground up, meaning it uses a fully custom frame inside, in which a Harley-Davidson shovelhead engine sits cradled. It was the minimalist style of this bike and the perfectly matching, retro-styled paint job in Red Dark Crimson and gold that caught our eye and made us bring it back into the spotlight as the perfect opener of the broader coverage of the BTChoppers bikes coming our way over

Controversial MMA League Returns to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Lingerie Fighting Championships to Perform Three Shows at the Legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s 40th Anniversary. Lingerie Fighting Championships, Inc. announced today they have been booked to perform three events at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip during the closing weekend of the 2021 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, SD. “We are extremely excited to be returning to the Chip for a second straight year,” CEO Shaun Donnelly says. “We had so much fun last year but only had one complaint – one show just wasn’t enough! So, this year we’re doing three.” The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is the largest motorcycle rally in the world. This year’s event will be the 81st annual, which also makes it one of the longest running in the country. “We’re expecting this to be the most attended rally ever,” says Buffalo Chip President Rod Woodruff. “We’re so happy to have Lingerie Fighting Championships back for our 40th anniversary.” The Lingerie Fighting Championships join an outstanding lineup of entertainment that includes Kid Rock, ZZ Top, Shinedown, P.O.D. and many others. This year’s rally is expected to be especially impactful as the country emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic eager for a party. “Even with the pandemic and the precautions we had to take last year, our fighters had an amazing time,” Donnelly says. “Making their entrances on the back of custom bikes was just too cool not to want to do it again.” The events, LFC32, LFC33 and LFC34 will take place Thursday, Aug. 12, Friday, Aug. 13 and Saturday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. each night in the venue’s amphitheater prior to the headlining main stage concerts. Anyone wishing to watch the events may do so for free with a Buffalo Chip campground admission pass. For campground admission passes to see the LFC show live at the Sturgis
