Custom Motorcycle turned into Production Model by Honda

by Sebastian Toma from https://www.autoevolution.com 2021 Honda CB1000R 5Four Turns Custom Bike Into Production Reality. Honda has opened the order books for the CB1000R 5Four, a performance-focused café racer bike inspired by the CB1000RS 5Four built by Guy Willison. The Japanese company teamed up with the builder for this limited-edition model, and it blends café racer styling with a factory-backed warranty. Honda’s flagship naked motorcycle received an update for the 2021 model year, and that was selected as the base for the CB1000R 5Four. Work started with the front, which received a cowl for the front headlight. The handlebar received a set of LSL dog-leg brake and clutch levers, as well as a set of mirrors. The gas tank has a hand-painted Honda logo, and the seat is hand-stitched in a diamond pattern, while the rear of the seat has the 5Four logo laser etched on it. The tail of this bike is also custom, as it has a slimmer LED rear light, while the license plate mount was moved up to allow a better view of the rear wheel. Customers will also get a titanium Growler-X exhaust from Racefit, which is supposed to only be used on the track. It comes with laser-etched 5Four and Racefit logos. It sounds nice, as you can observe in the video embedded below. Naturally, the bike had to get custom paintwork. In this case, we are writing about a candy red main color, along with blue and pearl white accents. The three colors are an inspiration from Honda’s racing efforts. Customers will also be able to order Guy Willison’s signature painted on the rear fender, right next to the seat. Each bike will get a signed certificate of authenticity. Honda will only sell this bike through its dealer network in the UK. However,

Auction of Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition

by Daniel Patrascu from https://www.autoevolution.com Steve McQueen was an alumni of non-profit organisation Boys Republic and this motorcycle has the unique serial number matching from his bike. Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Selling for Charity with Unique Perks In April 2021, British bike maker Triumph announced the launch of the “highest specification Scrambler 1200 produced to date.” We’re talking about the limited edition Steve McQueen version, scheduled to hit the market this month. One of them is being auctioned off by Triumph, via the Mecum sale in Monterey in August, to benefit a non-profit dedicated to troubled youngsters. The California-based organization is called Boys Republic, and Steve McQueen himself was a 1946 alumnus of the group. The bike to be sold is serial number 0278, a number that matches the number plate McQueen used on his bike in the 1964 International Six Days Trial. Moreover, it is being sold with a unique certificate of authenticity with the signatures of Steve’s son, Chad, and Triumph CEO Nick Bloor. As an extra perk, the buyer of the motorcycle will also receive an invitation to the annual dinner of the Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show. Other than that, the bike is just like the other 999 slotted for production. It was designed to be reminiscent of the Triumph TR used in the 1963 movie The Great Escape, and comes powered by a 1200cc Bonneville twin engine. The two-wheeler comes painted in Competition Green, like all others of its breed, but also boasts gold lining and heritage Triumph logos. Engine protection dresser bars, pressed aluminum radiator guard with laser etched Triumph branding, and a brown bench seat with stitched ribbing are also part of the deal. Unlike the bike it is inspired by though, this one comes with a few modern-day appointments, including

New Release from Artist David Uhl

Last year, we released the first in David’s new series, titled “Female Figure on Motorcycle 1”. We are pleased to announce the release of the second piece in the series, appropriately titled “Female Figure on Motorcycle 2”. He still has some finishing touches left on this one, featuring the lovely Stephanie Pietz. One of his finishing touches was to remove the tattoo. He felt it wasn’t necessary given the contrast between her flesh tones and the dynamic background. He also changed the top color and her shoes. We still have a few left in the print edition (details below). This submission is going out to a special group via email only (not on social media), therefore it will be a very exclusive offering. We will also be offering a VERY SMALL edition of canvas prints, hand-signed and numbered, with Certificate of Authenticity. ** Image size 20×30, edition of 12 plus 2 Artist Proofs and 2 Hors d’ Commerce, $895 framed ** Image size 24×36, edition of 12 plus 2 Artist Proofs and 2 Hors d’ Commerce, $1,295 framed If you own the first in the series, you have first right of refusal for your matching edition number on this one. MotoGP Inspired Honda RC213V-S Limited Edition

by Dragos Chitulescu from https://www.autoevolution.com MotoGP Inspired Honda RC213V-S Costs as Much as a Ferrari, Comes With Zero Miles. When Honda first announced the RC213V-S a few years ago, quite a few people were hoping that they would at least get a chance to see this bike with their own eyes. After Honda took Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez to the RedBull Ring to test it, pointing out that this is the closest you could ever get to a MotoGP motorcycle, levels of excitement continued soaring. Not long ago, we showed you a very spectacular Ducati 1299 Superleggera, which was already a very fast and very expensive motorcycle, and it looks like it still hasn’t been sold. But the fact that this RC213V-S just popped up is even more impressive. Because it’s nearly three times more expensive than the aforementioned Ducati, and it’s also much rarer. Honda initially planned to release just 250 units of this bike, but rumors have pointed out that a smaller number has made it to production stages. It is a hand-built motorcycle in a dedicated factory in Japan, and the bike that is for sale here is unit number 007, which gives it an extra degree of coolness. Looking over the specs, this particular unit is almost like the MotoGP bike but without the pneumatic valves and the seamless transmission. Those were changed to provide increased reliability for people using them on public roads. There are also other elements to make it road-legal such as the headlights, taillights, side mirrors, a horn, and a license plate holder. While the “normal” (if you can call it that) version came with just 157 horsepower, this bike also has the optional HRC Sport kit, which should provide you with about 212 horsepower. The parts included in the kit

Harley-Davidson’s Icons Collection Electra Glide Revival

by Daniel Patrascu from https://www.autoevolution.com $29K Electra Glide Revival Is Harley-Davidson’s Icons Collection Treat for 2021 For a while now, we’ve gotten used to Harley-Davidson launching special editions of its models included in something called the Icons Collection. Each year, at most two models get included in the series with exclusive looks and equipment. For 2021, we have only one so far, and it’s the Electra Glide Revival. For it to be included in the Icons Collection, the bike had to put on some special clothes, some that would make people reminisce about the 1969 Electra Glide, the “first Harley-Davidson motorcycle available with an accessory batwing fairing.” And for what it’s worth, it seems Harley nailed that look. Sporting various colors on various pieces of hardware (Hi-Fi Blue and Black Denim on the fuel tank, Birch White here and there on the fenders and side panels), the motorcycle sure looks like it was transported through time from decades ago. But it was not, of course, and proof of that are the mechanical bits that make this thing up. In the frame sits a modern Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-Twin engine rated at 118 lb-ft (160 Nm) of torque, there’s the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission to control it, and a wide range of acronyms depicting the bike’s safety systems: ABS, ELB, TCS, HHC, and so on. Back to this thing being part of the Icons Collection, its belonging to this breed is highlighted by a unique serial number, a certificate of authenticity, a period-inspired tank medallion, and Electra Glide script on the front fender. Harley says it will be making no more than 1,500 units of this Electra Glide Revival and will sell each starting this week from $29,199. As with any motorcycle in the Icons Series, the 1,500 units are all there
