Free Safety Course Included with Motorcycle Purchases

by Annie Lindgren from https://northfortynews.com Fort Collins Motorsports (FCMS), in partnership with Indian® Motorcycle of Fort Collins (IMOFC), has announced it will offer a free safety course to riders (valued at $250) with the purchase of any new make or model motorcycle from its dealership. “Safe riding should always be a priority, and we’re excited to have an opportunity to tap into our IMRG network so that we can offer this course for free to customers,” said Jeff Sroufe, general manager of Fort Collins Motorsports. “With May being Motorcycle Safety Month, we want to ensure all of our fellow riders are equipped with knowledge of important skills to help them ‘live to ride and ride to live’ while on the open roads.” With two dates to choose from, on May 8 and August 14, 2021, the safety course event will take place on-site at the IMOFC dealership (1800 SE Frontage Rd., Fort Collins, Colorado 80525). During the four-hour safety course, expert training will be provided by a local police officer and certified motorcycle instructor, who also acts as VP and safety director of the Northern Colorado Indian® Motorcycle Riders Group (NOCO IMRG). Designed for every level of motorcycle rider experience, the course will cover key safety topics in a real-world style setting. Safety topics include threshold braking, obstacle avoidance, slow speed precision, and more. Each course has been organized into a three-part format, starting with an educational ‘Listen & Learn’ segment, followed by a live demonstration to ‘Watch & Learn,’ and ending with a supervised ‘Ride & Learn’ practice session. Indian Motorcycle is tapping four renowned builders to customize the new 2022 Indian Chief Dark Horse. To showcase the range of the platform, each builder has a signature style that differs from the next. Indian Motorcycle debuts new 100th anniversary Chief lineup

Indian is the vintage motorcycle brand owned by Medina, Minnesota-based motorsports company Polaris Inc. (NYSE: PII), which revived and positioned the brand as a direct competitor to Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson Inc. (NYSE: HOG). Indian introduces the 2022 Chief models three weeks after Harley-Davidson introduced its lineup for 2021. Indian’s 2021 model rollout came back in September. King of the Baggers Returns in 2021 With 5 Races

The event was part of the first-of-its-kind Drag Specialties King of the Baggers event, and this year it’s all coming back with a vengeance. The 2020 event was a major hit, as it was watched online in massive numbers, with millions tuning in for the show. “The popularity of the event was crazy so how could we not do more? We know there are plenty of Bagger fans out there as our videos of the debut Laguna event were watched by millions,” said in a statement MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey. So, this year we’ll be enjoying the event five-fold. The series will be held in conjunction with the 2021 MotoAmerica HONOS Superbike Series, kicking off at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on April 30. Then the newborn series will burn through Road America, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and Pittsburgh International Race Complex before coming to an end at Barber Motorsports Park in September. “Having five races gives us the opportunity to bring King of the Baggers to fans in several different areas of the country. We’ve also opted to make the series open to any qualified racer, which should bring new teams and new bike builds to the series from the aftermarket and motorcycle dealers who specialize in baggers,” Rainey added.
