Harley-Davidson X350 showcased at Auto Shanghai 2023

* Smallest ever Harley-Davidson motorcycle * Build in association with China-based QJ Motor * Expected to be launched in India The X 350 is Harley-Davidson’s smallest motorcycle ever, developed in association with its Chinese partner, QJ Motor. After it was globally revealed a few weeks back, the X 350 has recently been showcased at the Auto Shanghai 2023 in China. The X 350 is unique yet handsome neo-retro offering with a design inspired by the iconic Harley-Davidson XR1200X. The bodywork comprises a round headlamp with a brushed aluminium bezel, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, an angular radiator cowl, and a stubby tail accommodating a single-piece seat. Underbelly exhaust instead of a side-slung unit completes its aspirational design. It is launched in three colour options – Dazzling Black, Joyful Orange, and Bright Silver. With a round semi-digital instrument cluster, a full-LED lighting system, and dual-channel ABS, it is powered by a high-revving, 353cc, inline twin-cylinder engine with liquid cooling and a six-speed gearbox. It churns out 36.2bhp and 31Nm of peak torque coming in at 7,000rpm. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels with upside-down forks and a monoshock. X 350 weighs about 180 kg and gets a 13.5 litre feul tank. In China, Harley-Davidson and QJ Motor have priced the X 350 at 33,388 CNY (approximately INR 3.94 lakh). Although it’s expected to come to Indian shores, the launch timeline is not known yet. VLXAFL-5 Knucklehead Chop makes progress

by Bandit with photos by Wrench Oil tank, Battery, kickstand, Transmission, gearing and… I escaped to my shop and attempted to shift my mind from treacherous doom and gloom over to mechanical freedom. I needed to finalize, or sorta finalize my rear brake system, and shift linkage. With the proper, old frame, S&S transmission case, Irish rich, Carl Pussar and I started to piece together a 5-speed transmission. Rich had the detailed S&S instructions. I had a brand new JIMS countershaft (turned out to be the wrong one, a 6-speed counter-shaft), and I found out S&S no longer makes these transmission cases. Ah, but there was hope. JIMS bought the pattern and they are starting to reproduce a case that will fit in any old 4-speed frame and house a tough-as-nails 5-speed Evo transmission. Another New Chinese imitation of a Sportster

from inputs by Enrico Punsalang at https://www.msn.com/ The Xiang Shuai XN650N Is An Exact Imitation of Sportster 883 It is a Harley-Daivdson in design butt without any resemblance to its performance. Sportsters have been a bestselling brand of H-D for decades. This latest clone is offered by Chinese manufacturer Xiang Shuai, a rather obscure brand which doesn’t seem to operate anywhere other than mainland China. Branded XN650N, it is an exact replica of Harley Iron 883. They did not even bother to make tiniest of differentiation. Its fuel tank, headlight, and even the engine casing look almost exactly the same. Powered by a 650cc V-twin engine which supposedly punches 53 hp. Does that mean its more powerful that the Harley-Davidson model? We doubt it at pricing and quality factors. Refer the previous Chinese imitation we reported — the Motofino Streetboy which looks like the Sportster S model https://blog.bikernet.com/knock-off-motofino-streetboy-v-maxter-300-looks-eerily-familiar/ Anyways, can you spot any difference between the Iron 883 and the XN650N ?
