100 word fiction contest continues…. #100WFC The Break-In by Bandit A thug broke into the shop. Rebuilding an old Linkert in the back, I heard a noise and then a scream. I scrambled towards the retail area, but how was I going to defend myself? I reached for my buck knife, a chrome-moly fork tube, the .38 in the drawer, a yard-long Crescent wrench, the cutoff wheel and or… The young addict wasn’t interested in the mechanic wielding heavy instruments, just enough cash to buy another high. He turned toward his escape, leaving the young female clerk in a pool of blood. Was I to kill, maim, punish, enable or wait, harm reduction? * * * * Yup, its a weekly contest open to all. Sons of Speed 2023 gets massive attendance

by Rogue – Misled – Christy Sons of Speed 2023 has started Bike Week Off With Record Attendance Sons of Speed has always been an enjoyable event for me to attend and cover. I really like that people have taken the time to keep these classic motorcycles running and even more to the point, actually racing them. This event is exploding. I am not the only one who feels that way, the event was packed. Attendance was up and so were the new classes and number of riders racing. New To Skateboarding?

“Don’t let that feeling go….keep on truckin !!!” Hey, Your Bikernet Blog Editor got grounded from riding his bike out of city limits. Well, actually, my mother has been sick consistently since she caught COVID-19 in January 2022. She has been in-and-out of hospital twice in past 30 days. I needed to get some wheels rolling near my residence so that I am available for mom and also able to enjoy some outdoor excitement. I decided on a new adventure — a hobby for Skateboarding. How childish? Imagine your dad riding down the street on a skateboard. Well, remove the stigma and join in. Can you imagine anyone other than a lifelong motorcyclist doing something so crazy in his/her early 40s age? This skateboard is the only vehicular-thing with more than two-wheels that I own. Below I present a few useful YouTube Videos I found that got me off to a “flipping” start. It’s not exactly a how-to but more of a how-others do it. Do These 10 Things Make A Difference In Skateboarding? How to Set Up a Skateboard for Beginners HOW TO SKATEBOARD FOR BEGINNERS | HOW TO SKATEBOARD EPISODE 1 Both of these two YouTube Content Creators have done a good job — though you may find one more useful than the other when you visit their YouTube Channel….depending upon your skill level and natural aptitude. Their Channels are: 1. Braille Skateboarding https://www.youtube.com/@brailleskateboarding Playlists https://www.youtube.com/@brailleskateboarding/playlists 2. Bikernet.com Wishes You A Very Happy New Year 2023

Happy New Year, Goddammit It Better Be! Let’s head into this year determined to make a difference. We can do it by raising hell, joining all the rights groups we can, writing letters to elected representatives and demanding truth and integrity. It was bullshit audacity to think anyone can break up our free country without a fight. This year we fight for reasonable borders, clean, crime-free cities, free speech and scientific transparency. Hell, oil didn’t come from fossils, it’s natural and we need all the CO2 we can get. It ain’t a pollutant! Don’t be bullied, fight back! Let’s make a difference in 2023 — Bandit Team www.Bikernet.com Wishes You A Very Happy New Year 2023

A Minibike Enduro Race Completely Out Of Its Mind

WATCH THE VIDEO: Insane 3 Hour Mini Bike Enduro Race is a Nonstop CRASH AND BURN!! | 2022 GPS 180 Three hours of mini bike racing on a grueling 3.5 mile rocky race track. Bikes hold up astoundingly well considering the terrain, but the competition is fierce! Some built an awesome full suspension racing mini bike, and racers do their absolute best on this mini bike race trail. by Janaki Jitchotvisut from https://www.rideapart.com Only about half the bikes that started this race made it to the finish line. When you see the number 180, what’s the first thing you think of? For many, it’s a complete reversal—you’re going in exactly the opposite direction from which you came. If you’re Go Power Sports, though, it’s a three-hour enduro race run entirely on minibikes in the wilds of its Texas grounds. The guys behind the Cars and Cameras YouTube channel participated in both 2021 and 2022. Naturally, the most recent 2022 run was all about improving on mistakes made last year. I mean, that’s what all racers do, isn’t it? Overall, the experience did go a bit better, but there were definitely some hiccups that could be improved upon for 2023. About 60 or so bikes (give or take) lined up to compete on the day, divided into three different classes. There was a junior class, for young racers. There were also two separate classes for riders with full suspensions, and hardtail riders (who were allowed to have front suspensions). The Cars and Camera crew, in their infinite wisdom, built their full-suspension entry and got it together just one day prior to race day. While the bike and riders did pretty well, considering, as you’ll see throughout the video, building a bike the day before you plan to race it may not

MotoGP 22 Game Review: its the season for living-room-speed

by Silvian Secara from https://www.autoevolution.com Purposeful Refinements, Better Graphics and an All-New Game Mode (PC) You’ll find that it can feel way more accessible to beginners while simultaneously catering to a more sim-focused crowd. The ongoing MotoGP season has been an absolute blast so far, with each race offering plenty of entertainment for motorsport fans to enjoy. We’ve seen fantastic performances as well as embarrassing mistakes from riders like Aleix Espargaró, Francesco Bagnaia, and the reigning world champion Fabio Quartararo, whose DNF in Assen is sure to spice up the title challenge after the summer break. Since we’re currently waiting for the action to restart at Silverstone on August 7, it’s a perfect time to discuss the newest installment of Milestone’s officially-licensed videogame franchise. Just like its predecessor, MotoGP 22 hasn’t managed to butter everyone’s toast, and a common complaint you’ll hear people make is related to the lack of any major improvements over last year’s title. In all fairness, the game isn’t considerably better than its 2021 counterpart, but subtle tweaks and baby steps are what we’ve come to expect from annual sporting releases of this sort. Nonetheless, it is a shame the developers haven’t taken the opportunity to make the career mode more interesting, nor did they add the dynamic weather feature that people were hoping for. As far as graphics are concerned, substantial steps have been taken to refine the overall look of textures, liveries, and, most notably, riders’ faces. Whereas the previous MotoGP was rather awful as regards the latter, I was pleased to find that facial models are vastly improved this time around. Credit where credit is due; this year’s GP racing sim from Milestone Interactive offers the best visual experience of the whole series! Click & Follow the Bikernet Blog Weekly Newsletter for
