As a product reviewer for law enforcement products, there are good days and there are bad days. Sometimes I test equipment that gets me excited about the product, and other times, I am left scratching my head. CHP Says: Motorcycle Safety is a Two-Way Street

  California motorcyclist deaths are on the rise.  The increase in motorcycle-involved collisions reverses a trend of significant decline in such collisions since 2008.  In response, the California Highway Patrol asks for the motoring public’s assistance in preventing future tragedies involving motorcycles from happening on our roadways. “Everyone on the highway plays an important role in preventing collisions,” said CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow.  “Motorcyclists are encouraged to ride safely and defensively, while drivers need to look out for motorcyclists who are sharing the road.” Continue reading

Land Speed Racing Comes To Europe in 2013

European readers and riders, mark your calendars for the first-ever public world record event to be held in Europe, March 29th to April 1st in Italy at the Nardo track. The high-speed test track located 12 mi north-west of the town of Nardò, Italy, in the southern region of Apulia, in the province of Lecce. Click on the image to find out more. The track has a huge banked circle that measures 7.7 miles and is a sea level. It provides predictable traction for optimal speed trials. Harley teammates Krawiec, Hines discuss motorcycle title race

  Screamin' Eagle/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson teammates Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines, who are battling one another for the 2012 NHRA Full Throttle Pro Stock Motorcycle championship, took part in a recent national teleconference to discuss the title race. Krawiec, a two-time world champion, is the points leader by just 17 over Hines, a three-time champion, on the strength of his career-best seven wins during the season.
