Orion Custom Car + Motorcycle Show, curated by METALLICA frontman James Hetfield, was part of the inaugural edition of Orion Music + More, the two-day festival created by METALLICA, which took place June 23-24, 2012 at Bader Field in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Over 300 of the best customs, hot rods, muscle cars and custom motorcycles were on display at the Orion Custom Car + Motorcycle Show inside the festival grounds throughout the weekend.   When the NHRA returns to zMAX Dragway for the Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals fueled by Full Throttle, April 19-21, fans will be treated to a four-wide assault from all four of the sport’s top categories, including Pro Stock Motorcycles, which haven’t raced four-wide since 2010. Pro Stock Motorcycles, which in recent years have only raced at "the Bellagio of dragstrips’ " traditional two-wide fall event, will take to the track with Pro Stock, Funny Car, and Top Fuel dragsters for the greatest spectacle in drag racing. Illinois State offering free motorcycle safety courses

Illinois State University is including free motorcycle safety courses among its summer and fall class offerings. The school announced Thursday the basic, intermediate and experienced rider courses will be administered in partnership with the Illinois Department of Transportation. The school says the classes are offered in an attempt to reduce the severity and frequency of motorcycle accidents. Immediate openings are available for classes held in Normal, Springfield, Decatur, Canton, Galesburg, East Peoria, LaSalle and East Moline. Illinois residents who are 16 years old or older and have a valid driver's license or permit are eligible to register. Interested participants must sign up online. Charity motorcycle show set for April 27-28

  The Manitowoc County Domestic Violence Center and the county’s Court Appointed Special Advocate Program, known as CASA, have been selected as co-recipients of the proceeds from the 31st annual Northeastern Wisconsin Charity Motorcycle Classic. Sponsors are the Ant Hill Mob Motorcycle Club, which has raised more than $800,000 for charity through various events over the years, and Hoban’s Cycle.
