New Nevada Law Lets Motorcycles Go on Red

Under a new law starting October 1,Ā motorcyclists will be able to go through red lights if they don't seem to be working or have failed to detect the bike. The Nevada Highway Patrol said signals use sensors to detect metal, which may make it more difficult to detect motorcycles than vehicles. The new law still requires motorcycles to stop at a light, and only proceed through a red if it's safe.Ā Nevada has launched a web site to educate people on the new law.
