The new Wind Splitter Vented Windshield ($424.95) from Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Accessories® was developed by Harley-Davidson and tested in the Wichita State University wind tunnel to relieve low pressure behind the windshield and significantly reduce buffeting at the rider position. A fingertip-adjustable center vent matches air flow to the rider’s height and also provides cooling air to the rider at low speeds. The Wind Splitter Vented Windshield is engineered to provide the comfort of a larger windshield, but its shape keeps bugs and road grime below the rider’s sight line. The shield is formed of hard-coated polycarbonate for strength and scratch resistance, and the dark-smoked finish reduces glare. The polished stainless steel brackets mount to the Original Equipment docking points for ease of installation and removal. The Wind Splitter Vented Windshield fits 1994-later Road King® models (P/N 57400176), 2000-later Heritage Softail® Classic (P/N 57400159), and 2000-later Heritage Softail®, Fat Boy®, Fat Boy® Lo and Softail® Deluxe models (P/N 57400159) equipped with auxiliary lighting.
