Hannigan “180” Front End

by Triking Viking Once again Hannigan Motorsports sets the new standard for the trike industry with the Hannigan 180 Front End for all Honda Gold Wing trikes and sidecars 2001 to current and all BMW K1600GTL/GT trikes and sidecars 2012 to current. The new Hannigan 180 Front End gives your trike the traction and tire life for which you have been waiting. Until now, the limiting factor for handling on a premium trike has been the front tire. When ridden hard in a curve the stock front tire will start to slip, skip, and chatter. The 180 wide tire included in the front end package stays planted in the curves, providing greater stability and performance. This translates into a greater safety margin for all riders. Even those who do not normally push their trikes to the limits of traction will find that the 180 Front End improves their ability to change direction more quickly and brake harder in emergency situations. It also increases your level of confidence in low traction weather conditions. CLICK TO READ ARTICLE

Doug Coffey's RetroMod Panhead Part 4

RetroMod Rigid Panhead Fuel Tank Text and Photos by Doug Coffey I started building my gas tank with a King Sportster tank shell available from Paughco. The picture shows I have already cut the ends out to receive the tunnel in the bottom. Here I have already started building the bottom from a flat piece of sheet metal I cut out and a tunnel. The tunnel is 1/2 of a piece of automotive exhaust pipe I cut with a plasma cutter and cleaned up on a belt sander. The elongated slots are for adding a rubber mount system.  See Article for pictures! CLICK ON LINK TO READ ARTICLE

Indian Motorcycle and Jack Daniels Together On Effort To Send Soldiers Home For The Holidays

Indian Motorcycle is donating a one-of-a-kind custom 2014 Chief Vintage motorcycle to support “Operation Ride Home,” a partnership program between Jack Daniel Distillery and the Armed Services YMCA designed to help junior-enlisted service members and their families travel to their homes across the country this holiday season. For 2014, the inaugural year for the new Indian Chief built in Spirit Lake, IA, the first 1,901 units were specially badged with commemorative serial numbers. The ‘No. 7’ serial number off the line was a Red Indian Chief Vintage model donated by Indian Motorcycle to the “Operation Ride Home” program which will benefit military families. The talented artists at Klock Werks in Mitchell, SD led by Brian Klock added just the right touches to create a truly unique motorcycle.  Hand-laid pin striping, Jack Daniel’s logos, the Operation Ride Home logo and a customized seat combine to reflect the special nature of this custom motorcycle. The No. 7 Operation Ride Home custom bike was unveiled to a standing-room-only crowd of press at the International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach on Friday, December 6. “For the third year in a row, we are honored to play a leadership role in sponsoring this important campaign in support of the fiercely loyal men and women of our Armed Forces and their families by helping assist those members who otherwise might not be able to spend precious time with their families over the holiday season,” said Dave Stang, marketing manager for Jack Daniel’s. “We anticipate an even greater outpouring of support for this campaign in 2013 and we sincerely welcome the partnership and support of our friends at Indian Motorcycle.” The bike will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson, one of the world’s leading auctioneers of classic vehicles, at its Scottsdale, AZ auction, which runs January 12-19, 2014. ATK Meets Saddlemen

And the new travel gear line FTB By Wrench with photos by Kyle We peeled out to Saddlemen’s family operated dream factory recently to see what was new, and maybe test a new bag on a new 250 ATK cruiser. We worked with Saddlemen’s team on several occasions, building a totally custom seat for the Mudflap Girl FXR, creating seats for Bonneville Racers, you name it. The Saddlemen group is constantly on the hunt for new, more comfortable seat technology, or gear to make any ride more user friendly. Kyle the official Bikernet Electrician just came across his first new motorcycle, a 250 cc ATK V-twin cruiser, and he’s taken to it. But he was looking for some way to peel to small jobs and carry the necessary tools. CLICK TO READ ARTICLE

ART ATTACK: Ian Barry’s British Re-Masterpieces

Recycled Classic British Bikes become works of art Story and Photos by Paul Garson Perhaps some would call it a “crime of passion” to “recycle” classic British bikes into “works of art,” but perhaps there’s significant leeway when the custom creations are for the most salvaged bits and pieces reconfigured into scratch built and streetable “one-offs.” Then again, do bikes… nut and bolt mechanical gizmos filled with goopy oil…deserve to be placed on pedestals and acclaimied as works of art? The answer is self-evident when you first lay eyes on the three motorcycles seen here. The trio of glistening, gleaming, yet fully funcitonal motorcycles come with relatively simple names for all that went into their making…The White, The Black, the Kestrel. More on the names later. Café Racer TV and Destination America Feature Sturgis Buffalo Chip in Shows Airing This Week

Footage shot at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s 32nd annual Motorcycle and Music Festival will air during two separate television programs this week. Destination America premieres “Badass Biker Rallies” on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 10/9C. Then on Wednesday, Dec. 4, footage from the Buffalo Chip’s Motorcycles As Art exhibition will air on Café Racer TV. The programs are two of nearly a dozen TV shows filmed during the campground’s annual Sturgis Rally festival in 2013. The Café Racer TV series gives viewers a look into the culture and craft of the café racer. In the episode filmed at the Buffalo Chip, the program explores the premier Sturgis Rally art exhibition, which was this year themed “Ton Up! – Speed, Style and Café Racer Culture.” The hour-long program airs Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 10 p.m. ET and again Thursday, Dec. 5 at 1 a.m. ET on Velocity. The episode filmed at the Buffalo Chip focuses on the photography of Motorcycles As Art curator, Michael Lichter. Viewers will discover what it was that made him base the Buffalo Chip’s 2013 exhibit on café racers and how the bikes fit in with a Sturgis Rally crowd. In addition, the show interviews celebrities like Willie G. Davidson and Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister—asking them to weigh in on both the work of Michael Lichter and the history behind the café racer. “We are always so thrilled to be able to share Michael Lichter’s photography with our festival guests,” says Rod Woodruff, president of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “So to have the ability to share his vision and talent with the rest of the world is an amazing honor.” Several additional Buffalo Chip events and attractions were captured for the premiere of “Badass Biker Rallies.” The Destination America film crew chose to camp at the Buffalo
