'Tis the Season for Toy Runs

San Fernando Valley Hells Angels Annual Toy Run Photos and Text by Bikernet Betz Remember when you were a kid, and the two best days of the year were Christmas and your birthday? Well, I feel lucky, because that IS how I remember it. But we don’t all remember it that way. Imagine hearing about this guy Santa, who brings great toys to good girls and boys? But then Christmas came and went, and you got nothing? Because your family was homeless, struggling………or worse if you didn’t even have a family? Imagine the difference your one gift can make to that one child. ‘Tis the season for Toy Runs, and I believe it is a noble cause. Can bad boys do good things? Of course they can! Whenever they feel like it! The San Fernando Valley Hell’s Angels have been doing their annual Toy Run for a very long time. And a couple of those boys have been my very good friends for a couple of decades. These boys knew me back when I rode Hondas up to Rick’s Drive Inn back in the late eighties. They have always been very supportive of me throughout my years in the world of motorcycling. So a group of my friends all joined in to support the best of the “bad boys” doing a good thing. The toys donated go to young boys and girls without parents at the holidays. CLICK TO READ ARTICLE

Thanksgiving Day: The Best Day To Lay Down Your Bike

Much To Be Thankful For Photos and Text by Tyler Ludlow Its one o’clock and I am sitting in the break room of the Food Lion in Greensboro, North Carolina. I’m drinking a Gatorade and rubbing a wad of wet paper towels across the road rash that used to be my lower back. They don’t have any hot coffee. This makes sense because it’s Thanksgiving day. My hard tail Sporty chopper is in pieces in the side parking lot, leaning up against the wall of the super market. Leaning up against the bike is my backpack, stuffed like a baked potato with my headlight and rain gear pants. I cut those off myself with my pocketknife. Highway 41 contains the bolts to the linkages, shifter pegs, grips, and about half the gas my tank should’ve been holding. I am not sure if the cold drink is helping to reduce the swelling in my clutch hand, since hands are mostly ligaments and tendons. I probably should’ve rented a car. CLICK TO READ MORE!

200-HP Ice Chest Wows Crowds In France!

“WTF?” Exclaimed Santa Claus as he came across the Voxan Wattman while shopping for a faster sled. French motorcycle maker Voxan introduced its 800-pound, all-electric two-wheeler at the ‘Salon De La Moto’ in Paris, France. Apparently following an unfortunate trend, where some manufacturers insist on keeping electric vehicles looking as uncool as possible, Voxan hired the services of French designer Sacha Lakic to work on the ‘bulk’ of the project. The latter reached deep into his bag of tricks and came up with a cutting-edge new design for a rolling refrigerator. It will zap 0 to 100 in 5.9 seconds, Voxan says.  Although bystanders gave it a lot of attention, don’t expect it to unseat any of the industry’s incumbent players: they’ll be built by hand, one at a time, for an “exclusive international clientele.” Thank heavens!

The New Confederate — Way Too Good For The Likes Of You

To paraphrase Pierre Terblanche, famous South African motorcycle designer now in charge of design for Confederate Motorcycles, here is one of the most outlandish industrial sculptures in existence. Not exactly sporting a name that rolls off the tongue, the Confederate C2 P-51 Fighter is, well… it’s just fixin’ to kill you, that’s all! You probably can’t afford to buy one, unless you have a cool batcave, but these machine straight out of Mordor will soon be available on Earth. Just listen to Terblanche’s over-the-top enthusiastic sales pitch and feel your blood pulsating through your aching temples as he describes just how bitchin’ the C3PO is, from its frame carved out of unobtainium by trained army ants, to the seat made from the skin of an Elf. Make sure to refresh your browser if the following video doesn’t appear. If all else fails, put your right index finger in your left ear and say the following word three times: Qrhtgpkljws. Enjoy!
