Source: Asphalt & Rubber The Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index (PSI) has become the motorcycle industry’s gold standard on dealer assessment, especially between brands. Scoring on the PSI is done by a combination of industry sales, as well as mystery shopper experiences, which Pied Piper itself conducts. Tallying scores for their 2014 report now, Pied Piper has announced that Ducati has come out on top in the Prospect Satisfaction Index rankings, followed by Harley-Davidson (2nd) and Can-Am (3rd). A New Biker Competition On The Tube

It’s official, you no longer have to watch reruns of American Chopper or Biker Build-off to see short-tempered bearded men use a step drill, toss hammers at garage walls and watch choppers fall off of work tables. Enter #BIKERLIVE, a new type of custom motorcycle build-off that will hit the tube hard Monday May 12. The tag line is: Three garages get a chance to be bike building legends! Anyway, I don’t know what to expect from this new program but it has got to be VERY cool, because it has a ‘#’ before the name… Gotta jump and get me a Twatter account right quick, because without it I won’t be able to vote for the next custom motorcycle living legend. In case you haven’t seen the promo that’s been running in a loop for weeks on Discovery, here it is.

Bikernet Independent Motorcycle Noise Study

Never Let the Bastards Get You Down. I recently was hit by Noise Freak efforts and it scared me that in a noisy world bikers would take the brunt of their silencing efforts. Even the AMA suggested that we cower and hide to prevent future intrusions into our rights. A respected Motorcycle mag editor said this to me, in defense of his notion to be quiet and maybe they’ll go away: “I think if our pipes exceed an acceptable level (whatever that means), and we continue to make people (non-riders) hate us, we will reap whatever ‘rewards’ they want to heap upon us,” he said. I disagree. We must stand and fight for our rights or we deserve to get our asses beat. CLICK to read
