Indian Motorcycle has filed a recall with NHTSA that affects 806 units of the company’s 2015 Indian Scout motorcycle. The recall is due to the Scout having a fault with the rear brake’s master cylinder, which can have a decrease in braking performance, or a complete loss of braking power. The issue appears on the following Scout models: N15MSA00AA, N15MSA00AH, N15MSA00AR, N15MSA00AS, N15MSA00BA, N15MSA00BH, N15MSA00BS, N15MSA00CA, & N15MSA00CS, which were also manufactured between May 12, 2014 and February 13, 2015. Indian will notify affected owners, and Indian dealers will inspect and replace the rear brake master cylinder, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in March 2015. Concerned owners may contact the Indian Motorcycle Consumer Service Department at 1-877-204-3697, referencing recall number I-15-01 A/B. J&P Cycles is going to take the Open House Rally to the next level on Saturday night, June 27, with a free concert at the Jones County Fairgrounds, in Monticello, Iowa, featuring Cinderella’s Tom Keifer, The Voice of Ratt Stephen Pearcy, and former Warrant guitarist Billy Morris playing tribute to Jani Lane. Don Jamieson, co-host of VH1’s Classic “That Metal Show,” will serve as emcee. The free Sunday afternoon concert, as previously announced, will feature Great White. Cinderella frontman, Tom Keifer, released his debut solo album, “The Way Life Goes,” in 2013. Featuring 14 songs that are eclectic in nature and as a 2014 article in Rolling Stones Country suggests, “blues howlers, Stones-y rock, and big ballads, the album calls to mind Cinderella, but with an even more rootsy undercurrent.” Leading Cinderella, top songs include: “Nobody’s Fool,” “Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone)” and “Somebody Save Me.” Tom and his band will play 65 percent of Cinderella’s hits in addition to solo songs and a couple of covers. Stephen Pearcy, the lead vocalist, founder and song writer of the rock band RATT, released his fourth solo album “SMASH” earlier this year. With RATT, over the course of 30 years, 10 albums were released with many top 10 singles including: “Round & Round,” “Back for More” and “Wanted Man.” Former Warrant guitarist Billy Morris will play tribute to late Warrant lead singer Jani Lane. Morris was with Warrant from 2000 to 2004, playing on the album “Under the Influence.” Emceeing the event is Don Jamieson, a stand-up comedian and co-host of “That Metal Show,” where legends of rock hang out to discuss their past and current projects in front of a live studio audience full of metal enthusiasts on VH1. Classic Rock will fill the air at the 2015 Hollister Freedom Rally as the Fabulous Thunderbirds perform Friday, July 3. The concert is included in the event’s VIP Package, however tickets will be on-sale at the gate. For over 30 years, The Fabulous Thunderbirds have been the quintessential American band. The group’s distinctive and powerful sound, influenced by a diversity of musical styles, manifested itself into a unique musical hybrid via such barnburners as “Tuff Enuff” and “Wrap It Up”. Co-founder Kim Wilson, still spearheads the group as it evolves into its newest incarnation. “We started as a straight blues band”, vocalist and harmonica player Wilson says. “We now incorporate a mixture of a lot of different styles.
