Electric motorcycle manufacturer Zero Motorcycles launches a partnership with the Amgen Tour of California professional cycling race to be included as part of the race’s motorized support fleet for the pivotal men’s Big Bear Lake Time Trial stage. Zero says their motorcycles are ideal for cycling race support, as there is no exhaust or noxious chemicals for the athletes to breathe in, and with virtually no sound, athletes can clearly hear any audio instructions given to them by their team over race radios. From May 11-20, this seven-day men’s and four-day women’s event attracts World Champions, Olympic medalists and Tour de France stage winners from around the world to California to compete across one of the most scenic and challenging courses in any race on the international racing calendar. Starting in Sacramento and finishing in Pasadena, the men’s race will be contested by 16 teams across 575 miles of coastlines, highways and mountain roads. The 16 women’s teams will compete across 257 miles through South Lake Tahoe, Elk Grove and Sacramento. Hey, Some weeks are damn exciting like this one. I have the chance to help a brother get a job in the industry. I’m working on his resume. I’m working on Hugh King’s Chopper King Chopper sale. The Trailblazers banquet is Saturday. I’m introducing a couple of race fans to the club. We are working on Grandson Frankie’s Dyna today getting ready to take the sheet metal to paint. I’m working with a photographer to launch his vintage motorcycle print business. And of course I’m helping the Redhead of Redheads. Warren Buffet recommends as least two sources of income. The first is your job, then second could be by purchasing a home and fixing it up. Or you could build another motorcycle. Certified Motorcycle’s Mother Rucker Choppers Foundation will host a weekend long celebration to kick off its inaugural Nevada Female Ride Month on Friday, May 5th through Sunday, May 7th, 2017. The event, which coincides with International Female ride Day on May 6th, is for like-minded women to deepen their passion for motorcycles, build a sisterhood and support the community. Female motorcycle enthusiasts from all over are encouraged to attend. With over 172 years of combined riding experience, the 11 women of Mother Rucker Choppers Foundation aim to draw attention to the underrepresented market of female motorcycle enthusiasts. Female riders represent 25 percent, or $6 billion, of industry sales annually Nate Scott, co-owner of Certified Motorcycles and founder of the Mother Rucker Choppers Foundation, said “I feel like we have a responsibility to support those who go unacknowledged. In the motorcycle community there’s a lot of focus on brotherhood and sisterhood. Sisterhood should have support; brotherhood has a lot of support. Instead of celebrating a day, it should be a whole month. That’s why we’re supporting this event.” The main event will begin on Friday, May 5th from 6-10 p.m. with a family-friendly meet-and-greet featuring a female-only bike showcase of custom and original motorcycles at Certified Motorcycles located at 7035 S.
