Zero Motorcycles Picked As Support Vehicles Of The Amgen Tour Of California

Electric motorcycle manufacturer Zero Motorcycles launches a partnership with the Amgen Tour of California professional cycling race to be included as part of the race’s motorized support fleet for the pivotal men’s Big Bear Lake Time Trial stage. Zero says their motorcycles are ideal for cycling race support, as there is no exhaust or noxious chemicals for the athletes to breathe in, and with virtually no sound, athletes can clearly hear any audio instructions given to them by their team over race radios. From May 11-20, this seven-day men’s and four-day women’s event attracts World Champions, Olympic medalists and Tour de France stage winners from around the world to California to compete across one of the most scenic and challenging courses in any race on the international racing calendar. Starting in Sacramento and finishing in Pasadena, the men’s race will be contested by 16 teams across 575 miles of coastlines, highways and mountain roads. The 16 women’s teams will compete across 257 miles through South Lake Tahoe, Elk Grove and Sacramento. This year’s event will feature top UCI WorldTour teams with the world’s best and most legendary riders.   Detailed information and prices are available at: www.zeromotorcycles.com. I’m working with a photographer to launch his vintage motorcycle print business. And of course I’m helping the Redhead of Redheads. Warren Buffet recommends as least two sources of income. The first is your job, then second could be by purchasing a home and fixing it up. Or you could build another motorcycle. Once you can take care of yourself, help your brothers and sisters whenever possible. To read all of the news click here. Harley-Davidson Shipments Fall 14.7 Percent In First Quarter 2017

Harley-Davidson Inc kept its 2017 outlook unchanged despite first-quarter shipments hitting the high end of the company’s forecast. Milwaukee-based Harley’s shares were down 4 percent at $57.00 in premarket trading on Tuesday. The company, which commands about half the U.S. big-bike market, said motorcycle shipments fell 14.7 percent to 70,831 units in the quarter ended March 26, compared with its forecast of 66,000-71,000 units. Harley said it continues to expect full-year shipments to be flat to down modestly. Harley’s first quarter shipments were helped by warmer-than-usual weather that led to an early start to the annual riding season, probably resulting in a pull-forward in demand from the second quarter, analysts have said. Harley also took the rare step of offering rebates on its 2016 motorcycles to U.S. dealers as an incentive for them to shift a backlog that had restricted sales of its latest models. Demand for Harley’s motorcycles continues to be slow as its loyal baby boomer demographic ages and rivals such as the Indian brand bike maker Polaris Industries Inc and Japan’s Honda Motor Co Ltd offer competitive discounts. Revenue per motorcycle fell about $342 to $15,526 in the first quarter, Harley said. The company’s net income fell 25.6 percent to $186.37 million, $1.05 per share, in the quarter, from a year earlier. Revenue from motorcycles and related products fell 15.7 percent to $1.33 billion. Analysts on average had expected earnings of $1.02 per share, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

Austin Moto GP — Don’t Miss The Hand Built Motorcycle Show In Austin

The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show is an inspiring showcase of works from builders and craftsmen that combine knowledge, skill, and ingenuity to create one-of-a-kind truly hand-built machines. As our collective existence slips further into digital abstraction, we at the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show believe something has been lost and it is time to revive the culture of physical craftsmanship. Although in today’s modern mass-produced world, few young people are taught how to do physical work or are encouraged to embrace a trade, there remains a universal attraction to the beauty that can only be formed by human hands. More information can be found here. In the meantime, enjoy the teaser below. The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show 2017 primer from Revival Cycles on Vimeo.

Nevada’s Inaugural Female Ride Month

Certified Motorcycle’s Mother Rucker Choppers Foundation will host a weekend long celebration to kick off its inaugural Nevada Female Ride Month on Friday, May 5th through Sunday, May 7th, 2017. The event, which coincides with International Female ride Day on May 6th, is for like-minded women to deepen their passion for motorcycles, build a sisterhood and support the community. Female motorcycle enthusiasts from all over are encouraged to attend. With over 172 years of combined riding experience, the 11 women of Mother Rucker Choppers Foundation aim to draw attention to the underrepresented market of female motorcycle enthusiasts. Female riders represent 25 percent, or $6 billion, of industry sales annually Nate Scott, co-owner of Certified Motorcycles and founder of the Mother Rucker Choppers Foundation, said “I feel like we have a responsibility to support those who go unacknowledged. In the motorcycle community there’s a lot of focus on brotherhood and sisterhood. Sisterhood should have support; brotherhood has a lot of support. Instead of celebrating a day, it should be a whole month. That’s why we’re supporting this event.” The main event will begin on Friday, May 5th from 6-10 p.m. with a family-friendly meet-and-greet featuring a female-only bike showcase of custom and original motorcycles at Certified Motorcycles located at 7035 S. Sahara Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89117. On Saturday, May 6th, the International Female Ride Day organized ride begins at 9 a.m. at Certified Motorcycles. The ride will be the first major ride in Las Vegas to coincide with the annual event, bringing together thousands of women around the globe. The ride celebration continues with a Gala at the host hotel, W Hotel’s rooftop pool from 7 – 10 p.m, at which the women of the Armed Forces will also be recognized. Throughout the month of May, the foundation will host
