Zakk Wylde Supergroup to Demolish the Sturgis Buffalo Chip® With Barrage of Black Sabbath Hits

Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde, one of the most talented heavy metal musicians ever to pick up a guitar, will bring the hard rock supergroup Zakk Sabbath, and the full thunderous fury of Black Sabbath hits, to the Wolfman Jack Stage on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019. Together with bassist Blasko (Ozzy, Rob Zombie) and drummer Joey Castillo (Danzig, Queens of the Stone Age), the group will bring Buffalo Chip fans the most insane jams from Black Sabbath’s first six albums. “There is really no band more qualified to smash out a block buster Black Sabbath style grand finale at the Chip we won’t soon forget than Zakk Sabbath,” said Rod Woodruff, Sturgis Buffalo Chip President, “Front man Zakk Wylde is arguably one of the most influential and accomplished guitarists of the last 30 years, and will without a doubt close out this summer’s festival with a very powerful rock performance.”

Zakk Wylde co-wrote some of Ozzy Osbourne’s biggest solo hits and intends to rock fan’s brains out to Wylde renditions of Black Sabbath classics like “War Pigs,” “Fairies Wear Boots,” “Into The Void,” “Snowblind,” “NIB,” “Supernaut,” and more until fans are screaming “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” like a Paranoid madman at an Electric Funeral.

The 38th annual festival noted as “The Best Party Anywhere” will open with a pre-rally party July 29 – Aug. 1, 2019, with official festival dates running Aug. 2-11, 2019. Performers announced so far include:

Saturday, Aug. 3 Keith Urban

Monday, Aug. 5 Styx

Thursday, Aug. 8 Toby Keith

Saturday, Aug. 10 Zakk Sabbath
